A simple fix that allows the player eyes to receive shadows and appear more realistic.
Notes
I was trying to capture some screenshots and this issue started to really bug me. After some digging I discovered that the eyes share the same object with the eyelashes. This as a result forces the eyes themselves to share the same transparency properties with the eyelashes which is bad. This mod changes the transparency property of the eye object to enable it to receive shadows and keep it transparent at the same time for the eyelashes to work.
The downside is that the eyelashes will appear shorter and rough because the transparency is a less precise.
I might be wrong but unfortunately this fix can only work with the player since my understanding is that all NPCs have their transparency saved in a .tri file somewhere and it's unique for each npc in the game.

Not compatible with any mod that does alter the eyes .nif files such as:
