I just found this mod after taking a look at your mods due to your awesome reply in that other thread and holy crap it's awesome. Endorsed immediately, I've been looking for a mod like this for years!
Yes, that Shift-E feature got broken pulling together the various others, so now right-click (or whatever you use for left-hand activate control) should let you read books and notes. If you're looking at the contents of some container then using Shift with the right-click should let you read without taking it out of the container.
I'd like to note, Dynamic Activation Key and possibly paired with Dynamic Activation Key - Addons Collection will let you shift + e to read a book directly from any inventory/container, plus several other things :) That said, this is still an awesome mod, and thank you to cdcooley for it! :D
It's how the game works. The more you have in your inventory or the container you are accessing the slower it gets just like every other action in the menus. This isn't a fast way to store everything you've got into a single container. It works best when you keep your inventory fairly clear and then store various things into different containers. That's one reason I made my Portable Containers mod to go with this one.
A subtle bug: when you're looking at the everything category in a container and hover over an item, one of the options will correctly be labelled, "Take All." If I press the right/D key to move to a different category, this text should immediately change to, "Take Most." But it doesn't change until I hover over an item again.
Hi. Is there a way to implement sth. like this, e.g. when I press Shift + R or some other button, "Store most" would do its function in reverse, only transferring the favorited items and/or protected items listed in the config file?
I love this mod and it works great except when the "give/take most" feature option is used on a container with lots of items, it makes the background screen go all blurry and back between each item being moved but when there are a lot of item, the background stays blurry and never changes back even after I close the containers. In that situation to get the screen back to a non blurry state, I have to save my game, quit to desktop and reload it every time. This is a huge time sink to do this every time I need to move lots of items to a container and defeat the purpose of a quick "give/take most" feature.
Hello cdcooley, may i ask if your mod is incompatible with Skyrim Souls RE? When i use both and try to stash my items into a chest, sack or any container my game just crash to desktop. Tried both in my save and new game as well, when i disable the Souls mod i can move items and no problems, its sad because both are essential mods in my game right now.
This mod simply injects a set of modified functions into the container menu, but it certainly sounds like there's a problem of some sort. That mod appears to switch menus to operate in game mode and if it's just the feature of "Store Most/Give Most/Take Most" that is causing a crash, then it's most likely a case of scripting overload based on other mods (or even original game scripts) watching for inventory changes. And if so technically these mods aren't incompatible, but together they are putting too much strain on the system and causing a crash.
I don't think there would be a way to fix that other than to not use the "Most" feature of this mod or disable the game mode feature of the other mod. So choose whether to avoid the "Most" feature or whether to treat the container menu as a traditional menu-mode activity. Personally, I think if you're using a mod to make container access take real time then also using the "Most" feature of this mod would be a cheat since it allows you to move items much faster than you could do by hand.
I see, i was reading the modpage of the Souls and found out it could be a bug from that mod, because enabling the option for paused container menus and the rest unpaused keeps crashing for some reason (and it seems to happen in AE 1.6.629+ only, not pre AE versions).. but it could be another mod changing things in a way that make these 2 not work properly together, it happens when i want to give my followers arrows, or trying to transfer items with left click, the Store Most/Give Most/Take Most features actually works pretty good, weird issue... Thx for replying! :)
Finally, I don't have to spam e and enter thousands of times. Store all is gold. But is there a way to store all items of the same type, such as books or ingredients in one go, or it has to be done one by one? Thanks, essential mod.
Yes, there's a Store Most/Give Most/Take Most to match the game's own Take All command.
If you've selected the ingredients category to only see ingredients then the "Ready" control (R-key or X-button by default) then all of the ingredients will be transferred.
More information about why it's called Most instead of All is on the description tab.

You are even awesomer!
One thing, it seems to have broken the ability to hold shift and press e to read a note/book/etc. Bug or unavoidable behavior?
