A NEW GAME IS REQUIRED! DO NOT UPDATE TO VERSION 3.0 IF YOU HAD A PREVIOUS VERSION INSTALLED ON THAT SAVE YOU WILL BREAK YOUR GAME AND MAKE A PUPPY CRY. You have been warned.
Besides fixes and lots of idle markers for NPCs, some nice additions were made to the mod:
- Now up to six kids can be adopted (with Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions) - Single beds for children were replaced by bunk beds in the upper floor, saving a lot of space - The pool in the basement was turned into a sauna, with auto-undress and redress script, and NPCs will also use it - Staff Enchanter and Imbuing Chamber were added to the utility room near the Enchanting Table and Alchemist table
This Redux new version requires a new game, as the fixes also included the purchasable upgrades, and make sure to purchase all upgrades before entering the house, children beds included.
Having water sound loop every time I enter the pool in the basement. Only fix is reloading the game. Other than that, everything is working perfectly. Loved the secret tunnel to access the house from outside Whiterun.
For people who's having lighting issues and candles "floating" in the main entrance, it's most likely an issue with ELFX. The ELFX - NoBreezehome patch must be used, and it should load before any Breezehome mod. LOOT for some reason is placing the patch after Breezehome mods which causes lighting issues.
I don't check my order that the ELFX - NoBreezhome patch has been loaded after this mod and got issues floating candle like you said. now I manage the order. The issues are gone. Thank you for solution.
First of all, love this mod. Second of all Thank You for this mod. Third I was wondering how to fix the flames issue on the floor appearing and the books flying off the shelves after I return. Wondering if anyone else had this issue.
I also have this problem. if you use Lux+EmbersXD, and I found the source of the conflict. Embers XD - Patch - BHTNFX.esp and Lux - Embers XD patch.esp will conflict. If Lux - Embers XD patch.esp has a higher priority, Lux will take effect and the window will show correct lighting, but there will be a flame next to the sofa. Otherwise, Lux will be dead, the lighting in the room will become the vanilla lighting, but the flame next to the sofa will disappear. But I don't know how to have the best of both worlds, I just find the conflict
I figured this out when it would not take my Dragon scroll. It was obvious to me because I knew, I had not sold the dragon scroll to Urag gro-Shub at the college in winterhold.USSEP has nothing to do with it.
When you look in the game there actually are "TWO Dragon scrolls". Dawnguard not only renames that elder scroll - it adds a second one. When you sell it to Urag and buy it back then that's the one you can place it here (The one added by dawnguard).
Dawnguard does not care which one you use in it's quest-line, but tnf breezehome does for the rack.
If you open the console ~ Type: help "Elder Scroll (Dragon)" It shows two different form ID's for it : 00048782 <-- this is from Skyrim.esm 020128DC <-- This is from Dawnguard.esm
That second scroll is from Dawngaurd and the one Urag sells you back to you if you sold it to him. It is the scroll you need to place in the rack in Breezehome.
So either go to the Mage's college talk to Urag and sell 00048782 then buy the scroll back from him which will give you 020128DC
If you're greedy and want to cheat for a few coin you don't have to remove 00048782, you could just go sell it to Urag.
I have Serana Dialog Add-on loaded. I played the last few quests of Skyrim's main quest-line and the Dawngaurd quest-line simultaneously because she's so quest aware with SDA. I got the scroll from Mzark along with Serna, and she was with me when I read it on the throat of the world and when I flew off to go kill Alduin leaving her on the porch at Dragonreach... she had a lot to say during all the main-line quests, You could feel she's upset if not about to cry as you fly off on Odeving. (She'll wait for you back at fort Dawnguard, When you get back she says something like: "The next time you try to pull off some hair-brained thing like that I'm coming with you", yes, the girl becomes very attached and possessive of you).
But, that was why I had the first scroll instead of the second when I finished Dawngaurd and went to put them on the rack.
I have to say this is the nicest player home mod added to the game... is not too overblown like many are, and it serves the purpose of a home.
However, for some reason, the spouse is not recognizing the master bedroom's bed as the "marriage bed". Hearthfire and Hearthfire Multiple adoptions also does not seem to "notice it" as marriage bed, even the multiple adoption target spells for beds do not work on the double-bed so It does not show up as a bed in spouses enhanced if I load that in to cast it's spell on it either.
Neither will the double bed in the basement show up as a targetable bed with spells - the player can sleep in these beds though, but spouse will not unless I add another mod for followers to sleep and the player actually sleeps in it. I do not get the lover's comfort doing so either... and of course the spouse will not sleep in it on her own.
So now, I'm super confused now... In SeEdit I see it is it's own bed model and has what I suppose are the correct attached keywords etc... but the bed just does not seem to be working with Hearthfire. Something must be missing on it, any ideas what?
All the other tnf plus bed homes I have, all work without a hitch, the spouse knows it's the marriage bed, it's just Breezehome which seems to have this issue.
Do i have to purchase all upgrades from steward or not? first sticky note says only purchase children's room but second sticky post says purchase all before entering house.
If you haven't already gotten an answer, you might look at the respective dates for the sticky - 10 August, 2022, and the last update - 03 March, 2023.
hi thanks for the great mod, I found out that the mod is incompatible with LUX, it makes the vanilla fireplace flame appear under the sofa, any suggestions for a solution?
I've got occlusion issues in the kitchen 1 basket and the 2 windows on the ground floor in the kitchen disappear when you walk around towards it. No efps installed
EDIT: it was project optimization. This needs a patch for that

I can't confirm because it still might be marked as a quest item for me so I can't take it out of my inventory yet.
