The Animated Armoury patch doesn't work for me, though. It has the keyword, but is missing NAR_sig (animated armory's animation specifier, I think), and uses default battle-axe animation as it is. That's the case for me at least on DAR version of Animated Armoury.
For those who want to fix this and make the weapon use halberd animation, you need to open SSEEdit, and open the patch (or the main esp), as well as NewArmoury.esp (=animated armoury), and copy the NAR_Sig from one of the halberds, and add it to this poleaxe's keyword section. (And if you are editing the main esp instead of the patch, don't forget to copy-paste WeapTypeHalberd [KYWD:040E4580] to the poleaxe, too. Do not replace WeapTypeBattleaxe [KYWD:0006D932]. You want to simply add this keyword.
P.S NAR_Sig for halberd animation is

Beautiful weapon, great job man. Really wish there were more knightly polearm weapons for this game, especially since there are so many mods that have added thrust-heavy animations for them.
LOOT doesn't like this mod I get this error when I try to run loot with this mod active: "Loot failed to run Errors: Cyclic interaction detected between poleaxe.esp and poleaxe.esp"
I'm not having any compatibility issues with animated armory and the poleaxe. However, one handed block animation leaves a lot to be desired as it uses the two handed block animation instead. If at all possible, it would be great if you or someone else could patch this mod to use one handed blocking animation when the weapon is being wielded with one hand and two handed blocking animation when being wielded with two.
a bug with the animated armoury file: the poleaxe can't be upgraded at blacksmith. once I remove the animated armounry file for this mod, the weapon could be tempered again
