---Krow's Starter Gear Series---
"Krow's Starter Gear" is a series that attempts to bring a little bit of backstory to The Prisoner, whom illegally crossed the boarder into Skyrim, stumbled into an Imperial Legion ambush on a one Ulfric Stormcloak, and whom may or may not be The Last Dragonborn (the latter depending left up to The Player's determination). This is achieved primarily by replacing the gear The Prisoner spawns in with - the "Roughspun Tunic," and the "Footwraps" - with a variety of clothing, and/or armor pieces; primarily, this involves just the torso, and feet slots, due to my own current modding (and possible the game's?) limitations. Some of these items may, or may not be considered cheating, as they are either A) not meant to be acquired to early on in the game, B) not meant to be easily acquired, or C) not implemented in the game, at all, and therefore cannot be acquired in-game without the use of console command, or the use of mods. On the other hand, while some "cheat" items will be appearing in this series, certain items will not. Faction specific armor, which can be obtained through completion of said faction's quest chain(s), as well as the Greybeard's, and Psijic robes are a good example of items that will not be making it Krow's Starter Gear. I lean more towards "lore-plausible" when it comes to this series of mods.

Concerning Modder-Created Gear:
I am currently unsure if I will support clothing, or armor created by other modders. I've just started modding Skyrim recently, myself, and am still learning the ropes of the Creation Kit. As much as I'd love to make patches for mods such as Black Mage Armor SE, or DreamBurrows Regal Huntsman Armor - SSE, I feel I might be a bit too inexperienced for such lofty goals at this point in time.

Concerning Skyrim Creation Club Content:
Love it, or hate it, the Creation Club is here to stay for the foreseeable future. I, personally, both love it, and hate it. It has some good content on it, such as "Rare Curios," "Shadowfoot Sanctum," and "
Umbra," and it has its drawbacks, such as "Camping," "Dwarven Armored Mudcrab," and "Nordic Jewelry." Anyways, concerning the Creation Club and Krow's Starter Gear, I won't be offering any support for Creation Club content with this series. While I, myself, do use, and enjoy Creation Club content, I do not feel comfortable handing out such powerful, obviously enchanted Creation Club items to The Player right from the start of the game. So, in short: Krow's Starter Gear will not be offering support for Skyrim Creation club content.

---What You Get---
Okay. Now, with all that out of the way, what exactly do you get with this entry into the "Krow's Starter Gear" series? Well, you get several this; more specifically, there are seven individual mods, with each replacing only two items that spawn on The Prisoner - the "Roughspun Tunic," and the "Footwraps" - during the vanilla start of the game with two other items. One of these items will be a set of everyday clothing; nothing too fancy, just a set of everyday daywear. The second item is a set of footwear; either, a pair of shoes, or boots. Again, the footwear will not be anything fancy. The attire in this particular collection is mean to be for the everyday commoner, whom may have a stable job, but has no real wealth.

The Mod(s):
  • Krow's - Belted Tunic and Farm Shoes - ESL: This mod replaces the "Roughspun Tunic," and the "Footwraps" you get at the vanilla start of the game with a "Belted Tunic," and a pair of shoes, respectively. This plugin was created in the Skyrim SE Creation Kit, and is an ESP plugin that has been flagged as an ESL in the latest developer version of Wrye Bash.
  • Krow's - Blue Vested Clothes and Shoes - ESL: This mod replaces the "Roughspun Tunic," and the "Footwraps" you get at the vanilla start of the game with a set of blue vested "Clothes ," and a pair of shoes, respectively. ---How To Install---
MO2:
  • Click "Download With Manager" and install, and activate as per usual.

Vortex:
  • Click "Download With Manager" and install as per usual, and override when prompted? Unsure, as I don't use Vortex.

NMM:
  • Click "Download With Manager" and install as per usual, and override when prompted? Unsure, as I don't use NMM.

Manual:
  • Download manually, unzip, place ESP file in the "Data" folder of your Skyrim Special Edition's install location, then... activate in game? Unsure, as I have little experience manually installing mods...

---Load Order---
I, honestly, cannot offer any real suggestions on where to place this in your load order. Each load order is unique, and highly tailored to each player's desires, and honestly, only you, the player, know where best to put your mods to get the effects you want in your games. If you have any doubts, let LOOT - Load Order Optimisation Tool do its job (it's what I do).

---Compatibility----
  • This mod it IS fully compatible with Khajiits and Argonians. (Unless, of course, you have a mod that does otherwise...)
  • As this mod only modifies the prisoner clothing you get at the vanilla start of the game, and contains only vanilla assets, it will adhere to any remodeling and/or re-texturing mods you have installed.
  • This mod should be compatible with anything that does NOT replace the starting clothes (Roughspun Tunic, and Footwraps) you get at the vanilla start of the game.
  • Each mod in this collection is NOT compatible with each other. Only have ONE of these mods activated at a single time. I have NOT tested to see what will happen if more than one of these kinds of mods are active at the same time, but as a rule, it is a good idea to avoid these kinds of conflicts altogether.
  • This mod is NOT compatible with  Better Starting Clothes, as that mod do nearly the exact same things.
  • This mod is NOT compatible with Better Starting Clothes - Fugivite From Cyrodiil, as they do nearly the exact same things.
  • The mods in this comllection may, or may not be compatible with NMM. They contain ESP plugins that have been flagged as ESL, and I am not familiar enough with NMM to know if that particular mod manager supports Light Master files, or not.

---Issues---
  • This mod has not been tested with alternate start mods. As I do not use alternate start mods, myself, I cannot attest to how this mod interact with them.
  • This may conflict with other mods that overhaul the Helgen introduction sequence.

---Notes---
  • The mods in this collection were created in the latest version of Skryim SE Creation Kit.
  • This mod is an ESP that has been flagged as an ESL, through the use of the latest developer version of Wrye Bash.
  • All Donation Points I, Krow, (the mod author) gained by you downloading this mod go 100% towards charity.
