There's a persisting issue regarding the models that when you enter another area in 1st person (zone change) while the weapon is drawn, 3/4 of your screen will be covered in black. (Refer to the "Bugs" section for details).
Since the base mod that I've used the assets from hasn't been ported to SSE, I don't have any hints if anybody has fixed them or not at all.
Though I have yet to confirm that the same problem will occur with the original mod, even if I'm using the modified nif files from Yurica's mod.
Edit: The problem seems to be originating specifically with the blade mesh. I've updated the files to hopefully fix this problem.
It's not a katana! This is TATI. the handle is too short for a katana. in general, the katana is an analogue of the European bastard, adjusted for Japanese specifics
@vpulse08 Hopefully this model will ACTUALLY BE FUCKING THERE so I can actually FINISH THE FUCKING QUEST, unlike the original model. Seriously bruma devs! >:(
@VearCon64 I'm not sure if I remember this right, but if this is the one that's beside the skeleton that has a violent seizure (and sometimes floats slowly by itself randomly perhaps trying to ascend to Sovngarde), then chances are the sword gets flung away somewhere around the room.
If it really is nowhere to be found, one solution I can think of would be calling upon the Reference ID of the katana in the console and using "moveto player" command iirc.
as for the stripes on the sword, here is a screenshot in the section of the blade from nifskop I think these are the features of the game of light and reflections from the CONCAVE edge of the edge glenroysswordnifscop
It only happens if I have the sword equipped, but the screen will turn black (mostly) after exiting the perk screen, fast traveling or entering/exiting an interior cell like a building. - So in my experience, both.
So I looked into the issue and I don't see how this mod would cause this particular problem as it only affects the Glenroys katana from Bruma. I have seen online that people have had similar problems caused by lighting mods. As I said I've had the same issue but long after uninstalling this mod. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
I was gonna suggest this mod Dancing Crane Katana as it has covered a lot of color varieties already along with 2 handed variants, though you'll have to port it to SSE (or wait for someone else to port it in the meantime).
Thanks for the suggestion but those aren't so nice and thicc like these here. I made my own red version though and just used Hanakotoba's odachi for the two-handed version.
Unfortunately no this is a replacer for a weapon from Beyond Skyrim: Bruma so that mod is required. I suppose it could be a replacer for the normal blades sword in Skyrim but I wouldn't be able to do it I just ported the original mod.
