I will look into creating a patch, although I'm not well versed on how weathers work in Skyrim. This patch was merely the result of knowledge of xEdit, I didn't make it from scratch!
Obsidian Weathers for Vigilant was never a patch and should not be called a patch. It is a standalone weather mod for Vigilant that is congruent with the lighting styles of Obsidian.
Just for reference I have 250-300 esl files all of them installed with NMM, I don't know why people think there's issues with that. If they have a master like your patch, they'll stay just below the master, otherwise they will load just below the esm's :)
And yes, personally I use Mod Organizer 2 after switching from multiple broken NMM installs, so I'm a little biased. The newer builds of NMM (not hosted here on Nexus) apparently support ESL files, although every time I tried using them with NMM it just locked my load order. But best of luck regardless, mod manager is personal preference. Happy modding!
I have a question that maybe you can answer. I would like to use the Vigilant .esm; however the LOTD patch requires the Vigilant .esp as a master. Can I change the master file via Wyre Bash? I'm building my mega-modded playthrough and I'm hesitant to use the .esm file for this reason. Thanks!
Edit - Edit-I just went to the LOTD page and this exact issue was covered and it appears that you can simply change the master via Wyre Bash! Woot!
Glad you’ve solved it, lol. Actually in creating this mod I just used xEdit launch arguments to change masters. I looked at the original patch and rebuilt it for the .esm by loading Vigilant.esp and the old patch along with Vigilant.esm at the same time.
Is it safe for I to make the " Obsidian Weathers - Vigilant Updated ESP " from the optional downloads an ESL using SSE? I am not using the ESM version of Vigilant so I cant use the the other file.
This mod is only an update for the patch that was posted on the Obsidian Weathers page so that it works with the Vigilant.esm. You may still be able to download it from there if you use Vigilant.esp, but I recommend you use Vigilant.esm unless you are mid-save and cannot update.
