I found the same problem you can't exit from the door but you can exit if you activate the display case. Go figure, it's a nice little house in a good spot and works with "Capitol of Winterhold".
Great small home in the region! Much better since I don't really like finishing the Mages' Guild quest line. The additions of smithing stations is much appreciated.
There's just a small issue with the display case to the right of the door leading out to "Skyrim" when activated. Unknown if it's an issue on my end, but I've tried all eliminating all of the Winterhold mods I'm using (which isn't many to begin with).
Not sure what's happened, but the door to exit doesn't seem to work. Animation is missing and transition to exterior isn't working. Had to use console code to teleport out.
That's really odd, i don't see how that would happen in any way. Have you had this issue before with other cells? Is it fixed now? Did it randomly start or never worked with the house?
Never had it happen before with any other cells. I tried it with several characters in other games and the same thing happened, and it's the door has never worked. I've had to teleport out each time. Sorry if that wasn't helpful. I don't have any mods installed that could possibly effect it. Not sure what's going on.
