This mod adds five brand new Adalvald's journals and a book on Stendaar to the unburned Hall of Vigilants.

In Fort Dawnguard, Isran tells you that the Vampires destroyed the Hall of the Vigilants to obtain Brother Adalvald's journals on ancient vampire artifacts and burial sites. However, if you go to the Hall of the Vigilants before starting Dawnguard, the journals are missing. This mod adds five brand new Adalvald's journals and a book on Stendaar's teachings.
When I started Dawnguard and Isran said the vampires were after Adalvald's journals I had to exit the game and go to the Hall of Vigilants to read those books. I had never read them and wondered why. Arriving at the Hall, I searched for these infamous texts to no avail. They were not in the game.
Then Gopher, in his newest Let's Play reminded me that those books were missing. So, I made them.
You have to go find them before starting Dawnguard, because when Dawnguard begins the Hall of Vigilants is burned and the books are lost.
Adalvald's first two journals tell Adalvald's story. I tried to make his story one worth reading.
This mod does not require Dawnguard.
