About this mod

A collection of assorted gameplay tweaks aimed at Legendary difficulty play, with an MCM menu for controlling, enabling, or disabling them.

Legendary difficulty mode is great; a pack of hungry wolves or a mugger presents a real threat to your life, and rightly so. But, some of the gameplay mechanics don't scale well and aren't balanced as well as they are on lower difficulties.  They don't feel right.

This is primarily a collection of tweaks I've made when I ran across something that just didn't feel right while playing Legendary mode, along with a few others that I threw in just because.

Controllable via the menu:

  • Version 1.5: Adjust the amount of extra time that passes while traveling
  • Version 1.5: Mage robes can be made invisible at the tanning rack.
  • Version 1.5: Optional addon plugin to do the same for Summermyst mage robes.
  • Version 1.5: Added the ability to select a daylight preference of "diurnal" or "nocturnal" for any character. Being undead overrides the preference, of course.
  • Adjust the number of summons granted by the Twin Souls perk
  • Adjust the number of enchantments granted by the Extra Effect perk
  • Adjust the poison buff granted by the Poisoner perk
  • Craftable and temperable invisible invisible armor
  • Adjust cell respawn time
  • Allure gives a bonus regardless of which gender you're dealing with
  • The first perk in each magic tree grants magnitude and duration bonuses that scale with your skill level
  • Adjust the timescale
  • When leaving a named location, a significant amount of time passes, simulating a larger Skyrim and longer travel times
  • Fast travel time is also increased
  • If you're a vampire (or any undead, actually) and fast travel time adjustment is enabled, fast travel will always result in arriving between sunset and midnight
  • Bulk smelting recipes
  • Archmage enchantment on necklace, ring, and invisible robes, craftable at forge using archmage robes as ingredient
  • Hooded archmage enchantment on circlet, craftable at forge using hooded archmage robes as ingredient
  • Dragons are enabled once the user reaches a certain level (15 by default), even without doing the Defending the Watchtower quest
  • Adjustable chance for human flesh or human heart when a human dies (without messing with the forms of all the different human NPCs)
  • Version 1.5: Replace the poison cloak of Ebony Mail with a wide area debuff to poison resistance while sneaking

Not controllable via the menu:

  • Version 1.5: Added crafting recipes for a dart launcher crossbow and darts, which do 1 damage but can deliver poisons.
  • Blessings from worship last for 28 days (an engine bug makes them last even longer, actually)
  • Greybeard Robes are enchanted with Blessing of Talos, and disenchantable
  • Greybeard Hood is enchanted with Fortify Speechcraft, and disenchantable
  • Greybeard Boots are enchanted with Fortify Carry Weight, and disenchantable
  • Dark Brotherhood armor and clothing is disenchantable
  • Human Heart and Cyrodillic Spadetail create more powerful Frenzy and Fear potions, respectively
