    So the experiencePatch.csv, do I rename this to defaultraces.csv to overwrite the original or do I leave it as is. The rest of your instructions are clear I'm just a bit unsure on this one bit. Either way, this was much needed and you have my thanks.

      Best off removing the default as my patcher will cover all those npcs.

    Hello there.

    I can't get the XP on killing to work correctly. I always recieve only 1XP.

    In the Experience.ini I set "bEnableKilling=1" and
    "[Killing]
    ; Number of levels below that still give XP
    iXPLevelRange=20
    ; Global multiplier for XP from kills
    fXPKillingMult=2.0
    ; Percentage of XP stolen by each follower
    fXPGroupFactor=0.1"

    I ran the Experience Mod zEdit Patcher. No matter what I try, nothing changes.
    I copied the experiencepatch.csv it to where the defaultraces.csv is/was. I also tried it as it's own Mod in MO2. Both to no avail. I tried to rename it to defaultraces.csv as well but still I only get 1xp per kill.

    I'd really appreciate some help here. Thanks in advance.

    Works great once I figured out that ZEdit can't work if you have more than 255 esp's enabled (doesn't recognize esl's yet). Just had to disable some unrelated plugins and the patcher generated great. Thanks!

    Would you mind me creating a Mutagen version of your patcher? It's a new C# library allowing you to easily interact with plugins from Bethesda games, and the cool thing is that it's both really fast and it doesn't have the 255 plugin limit that zEdit does.

      you are the man Trawzified
      In a blink of an eye it sorted out my entire load order (almost 600 plugins between light and normal) and produced a patch
      10/10
      If I could give you an advice: publish it as a mod on nexus so much more people can see it, among the comments it remain hidden

    The output esp is always empty. Is this how it's supposed to work, am I doing it wrong, or do I just not have any mods that add NPC's?

      Intended. This patcher only generates a CSV for the Experience plugin: /SKSE/Plugins/Experience/Races/experiencePatch.csv

    Hi. Could a patch like this be safely applied mid play-through? Or would a new game be necessary?

      This "patch" is not used by the game, instead you use this patch to create a file using zedit, and then use that output file along with the Experience mod to affect how much XP you get from the things you kill thereafter. Yes this is safe to use mid play-through.

    Great mod, just one problem though - some of the values are way off. For example, defeating Miraak in the original .csv file (and default from Experience mod) results in 500 XP. It's one of the toughest opponents in the game, so this obviously makes sense.

    Using this patcher, however, the total XP awarded for killing Miraak is 5. Which is clearly a bit ridiculous - you get more XP from killing a small Dwarven Spider than from Miraak... and there are more examples of really low XP values being rewarded by using this patcher.

    Is there a way to either:
    1) Have this fixed, or
    2) ONLY use the newly added races that aren't in the DefaultRaces.csv file that comes with the Experience mod?

      The patcher takes races' starting health and divides them by ten to get the experience point value. This method gets a lot right but doesn't account for difficulty (like with Miraak).

      I take the stock CSV from Experience and then copy and paste the values from this patcher below the last record in the original file and then dedupe it based on the race name. You can even stack the compatibility CSVs underneath the values in the stock one (making the patcher values away the last set). It not perfect but it corrects a lot of the discrepancies with the divide starting health by ten method.

      The heck is 'dedupe'?

      EDIT: It's an Excel function 'detect duplicates'

      Hi, is there any way to edit the divisor to a different value than 10? I tried to change it with notepad+ to 2 however it had no effect on the experience I gained.

      Late reply... Yes that should work, just look in the output file to see if the values are different. If anyone else is wondering how to do this, just change the value of 10 in the following line of index.js:

      Math.round(xelib.GetValue(record, "DATA\\Starting Health") / 10), "\n"));
