Yes, it's still needed. I wish I had found this sooner. I've been "dealing" with the issue for a while until I recently discovered Fixes for Armor and Clothing Extension. If it wasn't for that and the fact that it fixes 2 more issues with the mod, I'de be using this. I still downloaded it so I can give an endorsement, if not simply for your mod having existed first. Thank you!
Kryptopyr has been slow with fixing this mod, been rather busy with bring their other mods to sse instead. Though I've seen them post that they have been working on an update but kept putting it off.
