Hi everyone! Thank you so much for installing and enjoying my mod! I'd love to hear if anyone has any suggestions on how this might be improved going forward (more bags, more styles etc.) Please feel free to reply here! I've a mind to include a quiver at some point, if I can figure out how.
Asking here since I'm not quite sure it's a bug or not, but does anyone else have any problem using the quickmenu button on the alchemist's satchel? I can access it just fine when I drop it, but when I try to use the hotkey I get hit with "You cannot quick access a bag you don't carry".
This is a beautiful mod. I have several suggestions. 1. It would way better to be able to rename the bag after we create it, if possible and to store anything we want in them. Some bags doesn't store all the items they supposed to. (I have a lot of mods which add different items.) 2. It would be amazing if different game mechanics ( crafting, smithing, enchanting) could see items in bags, so that we don't have to take them out of bags in order to use them.
so far these two issues are huge. thank you for creating this mod. it has a huge perspective !
I'd really love an MCM option to change the weight percentage modifier! I know it's been a while, but do you by chance still have the script source files?
Would it be possible to get a bag that is all purpose? While I like the idea of using bags for different items, from an immersion standpoint I'm thinking, "a bag is a bag". Shouldn't I be able to put anything in there? Will still be experimenting with this mod. Looks great. Wish all backpacks worked like this. Thanks!
I did have a thought of expanding this mod with various other bags and things, but I would basically need to learn to mod from scratch. Even to get the mod as functional as it is I just followed a tutorial off here, admittedly with only limited understanding of what I was doing :) so I am thinking about how it might happen, but if it ever does, it's gonna be a while yet!
I know this is an old comment but I found this mod which might meet your needs: Portable Containers https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8246
Unfortunately you can't see the bags if Dr_Bandolier.esp is not activated. You can see their names in the inventory but if you drop them they're gone forever. It would be nice if Dr_Bandolier.esp wasn't required. Its bags and pouches add a lot of carry weight, which kind of defeats the purpose of this mod.
This and Realistic Capacity are perfect together. Bandolier is like the fifth wheel on the wagon. Thank you for this btw.
Aaand never mind, I found the solution. For those not wanting to play with Bandolier's gear: Download a bsa extractor. Extract Dr_Bandolier.bsa and Dr_Bandolier - Textures.bsa. Take the "Meshes", "Textures" and "Scripts" folders that you extracted and pack them nicely into an archive. Install said archive with your mod manager. Done.
mariusbogdanrujoiu thank you so much for this tip! Worked like a charm. Its so damn better than having to ignore the none functional bags bandoliers in loot or crafting menus. Really helps with immersion.
I really want to like this mod, it's an amazing idea, but it's just too clunky for me to continue using. I play with a gamepad so it's not easy for me to assign and use hotkeys to manage the containers. And you have to go through menus to remove the items first, then you can craft/sell/store them in your house and it's just too clumsy. If there was some way to make the storage accessible while crafting/selling/storing it would be okay, or some other way to have these bags manage themselves automatically I would love this mod.

Really, this is best for decluttering one's inventory of junk that accumulates, keys, books, quest items. Maybe the bags are a bit too specialized.
