1.2 - Added Farengar Secret-Fire as providing teleportation services. However, he will not do so until you complete the Bleak Falls quest and return the stone to him (quest Mq103). NOT IN ESL FORMAT!!!!!!! Need to develop in esp until done. -Now with mcm menu to set the price of travel based on a percentage, from 1 percent to 100 percent. 100 percent is the normal price as seen in initial release. The prices in below picture are set at 4 percent. -Faralda in Winterhold is fully done and working -Madena in Dawnstar si fully done and working -next to be done are Calcelmo, Wylandriah, Sybille, Farengar, and Wuunferth. Takes time, please continue to be patient
Hey Tony, hope life is treating you good, i was wondering if it would be possible for me to use this mod as a base for a personal mod i have been working on.
Im basically making a realistic Skyrim mod list but i need to tweak a few things here and there so i started to make a custom mod to fill some of the gaps.
I totally understand if its not possible or you simply do not want, love ya mods!
Interesting MOD; and I could see optional to make it more interesting:
I could see all Court wizards offering the service, with some differences: Riften = Wylandriah randomly teleport player anywhere. Riften = Wylandriah randomly teleport player and followers randomly to different detinations. Riften = Marcurio offer teleports after doing a favor Markarth = Thalmor Wizard transporate player to Thalmor HQ if wanted by Thalmor. Windhelm = Wuunferth "Always" wanting a favor or Geas placed on player.
Each of the college mages could offer it for a price or a "favor/quest" or both.
I could imagine Wylandriah teleporting player somewhere, and then player gets "yanked" teleported elsewhere that Wylandriah was thinking about in the back of her (wandering) mind maybe a cave in Solestiem? The reward for helping "clear" her mind could be free teleports.
The strongest mages could offer "recall" teleports too. Pull out the "Blue Saphire that Wuunferth gives you, (activate it) and it takes you back to him".
you know, i like the Blue Saphire idea the most. WIll consider this seriously after I play the game some more weeks. Been modding for over a year and played zero. You would not want to be coauthor this mod and add to it , by the way? would welcome the help.
Possible to expand on this by making other mages like Farengar inherit Falralda's travel feature after successful college entry? Think of it as an immersive Mage's handshake feature where they graciously grant teleportation portals.
thought of a concept for the requirement mechanics if you plan on doing them:
Not a member of the College: Blocking/refusal/get lost dialogue. They don't trust you, you could be anyone doing anything.
Defended Whiterun and brought back the Dragonstone: Farengar and ONLY Farengar can teleport you at this point. Another location just outside Faralda's spot is a one time option so it leads to the rest of the mod.
College member: acceptance and standard pricing.
College member & learned at least 1 master spell: Acceptance and discounted prices depending on how many master spells learned, no free passages so you still pay even if you were Arch-mage lol.
Arch-mage: Still pay a discounted price depending on how many master spells learned and possible teleport location unlocks to any acquired player homes, arch-mage quarters and Castle Dawnguard/Volkihar?
doable: Not a member of the College: Blocking/refusal/get lost dialogue. They don't trust you, you could be anyone doing anything.
question: how do you become a member of the college? just pass the initial bridge test?
doable: Defended Whiterun and brought back the Dragonstone: Farengar and ONLY Farengar can teleport you at this point. Another location just outside Faralda's spot is a one time option so it leads to the rest of the mod.
-would like to use this to limit his teleportation offer until he gets the stone.
dont want to make it more complicated than that now. I already have a A MAJOR development effort here with implementing the three price structures, which will be mcm menu controlled. Requires me to create over 50 new global variables and a lot of scripting in quest fragments with lots of dialogue lines. Project has grown almost too huge.
This is for you guys. I was happy with initial release.
Pricing will be:
1) original price 2) 1/2 original price 3) 25 percent original price
so if $200, then $100 or $50 if $800 then $400 or $200
1: Yes, initial bridge test pass counts as getting accepted regardless of any answer you give her, because you do the tour with Mirabelle then go straight to your first lesson without any prior magic practice bar testing out the random spell tomes you have and using new spells to level up quick in typical ES fashion.
2: That will work great, he will offer SOME services to you but he can offer more if you get the stone. Fantastic idea!
3: That pricing seems fair. Tying to the MCM is good because you can change values on the fly to simulate wealth/stature and Mages cottoning on to your coin. Who's to say they can't think "Now where did he get all this coin to pay for my service when he should have learned how to teleport by now from the College? Who cares, I'll charge him more..." lol
I wonder what I am doing wrong. I used NMM, downloaded the file, installed it with NMM, approached Faralda in Winterhold college for first time.
No menu or price list and no apparent way to get one.
I did have a follower when I approached the bridge. Could that be it? \ ---------------- Thanks for the reply. I will give it a whirl next playthrough. By now, I have negotiated Shalidor's maze and have Omnipresence. I agreed to the test, but clicked too fast and the test did not register. Back to the original "May I enter", then I passed the test and no dialogue appeared.
No, you need to get past the initial dialogue. It blocks all other dialogue.Specifically ask to enter college. Say yes to taking test. Then either choose to take the test or select the option "not interested". After that the options will show.

I think a lot of fun could be had with this.
Can I suggest that when branching out, you only let court wizards and College wizards teleport (not just any old mage).
This are the prospects:
Court Wizard and City
MadenaDawnstar
CalcelmoMarkarth
WylandriahRiften
Sybille StentorSolitude
Farengar Secret-FireWhiterun
Wuunferth the UnlivingWindhelm
