About this mod

This mod aims to mainly change the non-vampire lord form with some tweaks on the vanilla powers and add some new powers and abilities in a non-intrusve way (as much as possible). Furthermore, it is an answer to a request made by another user (VikingrUlfr) in the forums.

1. Features

This mod is a direct answer to the request posted by VikingrUlfr (you can find it HERE). However, there were a few instances where I did not consider the requested changes since it felt for me like some of the power progression was lost or it would imply some changes to the vanilla system that I was not comfortable with.
This is fully compatible with the Skyrim Special Edition Unofficial Patch.

Vanilla changes
  • Vampiric Drain: the strength of its effects were changed in every stage from 2/3/4/5 to 12/13/14/15. The cost of the spell was changed in each stage from 6/10/13/17 to 14/16/18/20.
  • Vampire's Servant: the duration was changed in every stage from 60 seconds to 60/120/180/240 seconds. It is now a lesser power.
  • Vampire's Sight: it will now last forever until toggled off. Shader will now be tinted in red instead of blue as well. Furthermore, it will improve your sense of smell, allowing you to detect living creatures (creatures with blood running in their veins and they will have an orange aura) up to 65 feet (roughly 20 meters).
  • Vampire's Seduction: Creatures and people up to level 12 (instead of 8) won't fight for 30 seconds.
  • Weakness to Sunlight: damage to health, magicka and stamina were changed in every stage from 15/30/45/60 points to 50/60/70/80 points. In stage 3, regeneration rates are now reduced by 100% (for some reason, it was the only stage with a decrease of only 75%). Furthermore as a Vampire Lord, health, magicka and stamina regeneration rates are reduced by 100% and the damage you take on these stats were changed from 60 to 90. Finally, you will also take sun damage in stages 2 ,3, 4 and in Vampire Lord form (from 2 points to 5 points per second). You can hide in the shadows to prevent the actual sun damage to health from ocurring (so you can fast travel or wait for instance). Alternatively, type in console "set aaaTakeSunDamage to 0" (default value is 1).
  • Resist Frost: values were changed from 20%/30%/40%/50% to 25%/50%/75%/100%.
  • Weakness to Fire: values were changed from -20%/-30%/-40%/-50% to -25%/-50%/-75%/-100%.
  • Embrace of Shadows: it will no longer automatically activate night vision, it is a lesser power and it has a magicka cost of 60 pts, lasting for 30 seconds (instead of 3 minutes).
  • Champion of the Night: it will now also give you a 25% boost to health, magicka and stamina regeneration at night.


New Powers and Abilities
Note: the script used in the vanilla quest to grant players their vampiric power was taken from the Unofficial Skyrim Patch version 4.1.6 and modified accordingly, in order to ensure maximum compatibility.
  • Vampiric Strength: You will now gain Vampiric Strength. Stage 1/2 will also increase your carrying capacity by 25/50. In addition, stage 3 will make you stagger 25% less, while in stage 4 foes will stagger 25% more as well.
  • Breathless: you are able to breathe underwater since you are an undead.
  • Face of Evil: Intimidation checks are more likely to succeed 20%/30%/40%/50% of the times according to your stage of vampirism (1, 2, 3, and 4).

3. Installation / Uninstallation

It is recommended that this mod is not installed while you are a vampire. Turn into a vampire after installing this mod!
FIRST METHOD: Vortex/Other Mod Manager (Recommended)
Download and install with it, simple and clean.

SECOND METHOD: Manual (Not Recommended)
1. Download the file manually.
2. Extract the contents of the mod's zip file to your desktop.
3. Copy the .esp and .bsa files and paste it in the Skyrim/Data folder.
4. Activate the mod in Skyrim.

I recommend that you remove vampirism and have no vampire in your cell before removing the mod, just to be sure.
