Description:

Weather Control gives you the ability to call in the four basic weather types found in the vanilla game: Clear, Cloudy, Rain & Snow.

I originally made this mod for making screen archery easier for myself, then decided others might like its simple design to call in variable weather, and then also decided people who actually play Skyrim might like it to compliment other weather dependent mods or just for immersion (the Dragonborn can learn a shout to banish clouds and bad weather but can't summon a drop of precipitation?).

Immersive Edition:

Three new shouts are added to the game (Cloudy Skies, Rainy Skies, Snowy Skies) and are learned at the same time when you learn the "Clear Skies" shout during the main quest. Cloudy Skies uses the same words as Clear Skies, so you'll have that one unlocked instantly. Rainy Skies and Snowy Skies require you to learn additional words before unlocking the full shout. Note: the first word for every "Skies" shout is "Sky", so you'll have the 1st word unlocked already for use. I don't think it makes any difference whether you have all 3 words or just one. Each word/spell-effect is scripted to change the weather.

Screen Archer Edition:

You'll have Clear, Cloudy, Snowy & Rainy Skies all available instantly after installation. They are classified as 0-cost lesser powers, equip them like any other spell and cast them to summon your desired weather.

Technical Details:

-There are multiple types of Clear, Cloudy, Rainy & Snow sky weather types in the vanilla game, even more if you're using a weather mod. This mod does not let you pick a specific weather pattern, only the general category. You may have to cast your "Skies" spell multiple times to get a specific weather.

-Weather Control does not instantly change the weather. It alters the current weather pattern to begin transitioning to the weather type you've selected. For example: you are currently in "clear" skies and cast "snowy skies". You might first see "cloudy" skies, then "rainy" skies and finally "snowy" skies.

-Weather Control works in outdoor areas of cities (like Whiterun or Solitude).

-The specific weather patterns you may encounter are dependent on your location in Skyrim. E.g. snowstorms are stronger the higher up a mountain or further North you are.

Compatibility:

Weather Control should work with any and all mods that have any dependency on the current active weather, since it's calling in the vanilla weather types already available in your game.

Any weather mod: Compatible
Wet & Cold: Compatible
Ordinator (Force of Nature perk): Compatible
FrostFall: Not confirmed, but should work

Known Issues:

-Sometimes the transition is near-instant (i.e. you summoned a blizzard), other times it may take a minute for the transition to complete.

-Some areas of the game are put on an "exceptions" list to prevent you from changing the weather (like Blackreach). Weather Control will not work in those areas.

-Quickly spamming weather types will likely result in screwed up weather patterns that don't match what you selected. Don't do that.

-You might get rain/snow/clouds/blue sky when you selected something different. Try casting your spell again. Because weather mods introduce many different weather patterns, some may be classified as being both "cloudy" and "snowy", for example.
