    Hello,

When you said that you must install the Locational Damage Module, the link you provide is an Oldrim mod.

Do i need to port that mod to SSE and then install your patch?

    Regards

Nope. No need to perform any conversions on the original module; it primarily uses scripts and should function out of the box (with SKSE64 + SkyUI).

frankk was awesome to respond and offer detailed help. Kudos.

Below is my other reply about mods with similar names confusion.

After shooting several arrows locational effects fail to work. Essential NPCs often fail to regester effects too. I have put all effects to 100% chance of critical. Everything is to date. I tried manual overwrite install. I have no other NPC or combat mods. I am testing with clean saves. Basically I can not get reliable function with ANY of the locational damage script mods. I am having success with the SKSE plugin locational damage mod (pre version 4) and will continue to test it.

We are all here for the desire for locational damage. I am greateful for all the work done on all these mods. Maybe this is stable for some, I don't know. I have to use the plugin style mod. I think of all the hours making and testing these mods and I have to say thank you.

I am modding again and this is the first combat change I am attempting. Nothing is working because I am using the wrong mod with this patch. LOCATIONAL DAMAGE(SKSE plugin) is a different mod with a different author. In posts there is a link to this patch and this patch is not for that mod. I left a correction reply for that link and hope to stop others from mixing the wrong mods. Having two mods named LOCATIONAL DAMAGE was a bad bad bad idea, bad idea. Really bad, really. Like ARROW TO THE KNEE SE and ARROW TO THE KNEE FOR SE. Yeah, people don't do that. (please)

Yea agreed. The 'SKSE' locational damage mods started by Felisky and ported by Ifrazer are totally different architecturally. Those mods don't use Papyrus scripting at all (to my knowledge). Once the bugs and crashes are worked out this mod will be obsolete.

I'm guessing at some point those authors will expose their hard work as mod events in Papyrus, so other authors can add on their own locational damage logic and integrate with other combat mods such as Combat Evolved and Wildcat.

As you mentioned I definitely would not install both at the same time. The effects between each mod would stack and no doubt make the game-play unstable.
