In case anyone is interested . . . this mod conflicts with Immersive Sound Compendium because they both edit the nirnroot sound. And I discovered (through trial and error) that ISC will always win out, even if you place this mod below it in MO2. You also cannot make a compatibility patch with xEdit because xEdit only reads .esp files, and this mod doesn't have an .esp. HOWEVER -- There is a very easy fix, and you can do it no matter which mod manager you are using. (I think the same problem will exist because the folders are named slightly differently, so I don't think you will get a notice that you are overwriting something, but I could be wrong).
Make sure ISC is activated. Find where it is (for example, mine is in SSE Utilities>Mod Organizer>mods>Immersive Sound Compendium). If you installed with something other than MO, it is probably in Skyrim SE>Data
In another window, in a random folder (perhaps on the desktop -- many people seem to do it that way), extract Nirnroot - No More Tinnitus. You should have the following file structure within that folder: Data>Sound>FX>ITM>Ingredient -- and then a file called ITM_NirnRoot_LP.wav . Copy this file.
Open up either the ISC folder (if using MO) or the Data folder (if not), and navigate to Sound>fx>itm_is>ingredient.
Paste the file you copied from Nirnroot - No More Tinnitus into this folder. It will ask you if you want to replace or not copy or have both files. Choose Replace. Now this mod's nirnroot sound is IN ISC. I just tested it in game, and yes, very, very creepy child whispers!
This is a great workaround that absolutely works! I can add to this that you'll probably have to look for the specific path: Data\Sound\FX\itm_is\ingredient which is the folder that IMC creeates. The Data\Sound\FX\ITM\ingredient is the original folder.

Edit: All fixed. Thank you for the smack upside the HEAD.
