VER 6a - Removed the FISSES dependency. Safe to update mid game, HOWEVER... There is only one FISSScript orphaned when FISSES is removed mid game. Keep in mind other mods might need it.
Disabling FISSES mid game is your call.


Having received permission from the mod's creator, I bring you the SE port of this great mod! Initially ported on SKSE64 v 2.0.10, it currently runs on 2.0.20, current Skyrim SE build and on AE with 2.01.3 with no problems.  

This mod works with SkyrimSE Update 1.5.80.0.8 and up, FISS v 1.3.6 and SKSE64 2.0.16 and up. This mod has been reported to work with Skyrim VS, however you might have to use an older version of FISS. See the comments section for additional information.

Be advised I do not use Skyrim VS or any Console and have no intention of doing so. However if someone from the VS community wants to assist with making this work on the VS platform feel free to contact me.

I also do not use any mods from the Creation Club, as such I will not answer any questions about compatibility with CC mods. However if you do use CC mods and want to report on compatibility, do so in the comments section.

A simple mod that allows Magicka and Stamina to gain Experience and grow as you cast spells and swing your weapon around !! After Installing go to your mod configuration and check the box to activate the magic effects.

-::= More In-Depth Description =::-

For a long time I've loathed the static choice of health, magicka or stamina per level.
And hated never having enough magicka or stamina because I've invested in health.
So I made this mod for personal reasons and decided to share it here.
No Longer will I be the mage who has no health because I invested in magicka.
No Longer will I be the warrior who has no stamina because I invested in health.
With this mod both your stamina and magicka will increase as you exercise them.
Simply cast spells and swing your weapon around to gain exp and see your magicka and stamina grow.

How this works is if a spell cost 10 magicka you'll get:
- 10 exp at a multiplier of 1 means casting the spell 10 times to grow
-   2 exp at a multiplier of 0.2 means casting the spell 50 times to grow
- 20 exp at a multiplier of 2 means casting the spell 5 times to grow
Stamina works likewise, except replace spell cost with weight and casting with swinging.

  • EXP growth for Magicka based on spell cost
  • Configurable EXP multiplier (Default is 0.01 exp per magicka point)
  • EXP need is equal to Magicka Base value
  • Magicka Growth is one to your level random integer
  • Channeled spells grant 1 xp per second cast times the multiplier
  • Configurable Magicka Growth Cap (Stops exp when you have X base Magicka)

  • EXP growth for Stamina based on weight
  • Configurable EXP multiplier (Default is 0.05 exp per weight point)
  • EXP need is equal to Stamina Base value
  • Stamina Growth is one to your level random integer
  • EXP can be gained by swinging weapon (Weapon weight worth of exp * multiplier)
  • EXP can be gained by Sprinting (carry weight/total carry weight*5 times multiplier)
  • EXP can be gain by blocking (Half attacker's weapon weight times multiplier)
  • Configurable Stamina Growth Cap (Stops exp when you have X base Stamina)

Either version can be installed on an existing game for the first time. To upgrade see below.

Requires: SkyUI
Requires: SKSE64
Requires: FISSES

  • Download the mod. 
  • Extract the .rar into your data folder or install with manager
  • Go to your load order
  • Activate DM&SG.esp
  • Go to skyui and activate in the mod menu
  • Set a reasonable limit using the slider on the configuration page.
  • Check your active magic effects for dynamic magicka and stamina effects
  • Have Fun :)

With V5 and up you should be able to overwrite the existing mod. I do believe the mod is where it needs to be and should not need any additional changes. But one never knows.


Now I've removed a few options from the menu and have changed the way exp is handled with the multiplier.
After installing you will have to change the settings to something you like.
I suggest something like 0.2 for a background feature and 1.0 for a quicker progression, 2.0 is the max.
You'll level up if your exp reaches the same value as your base magicka.
How this works is if a spell cost 10 magicka you'll get:

-::= Compatibility =::-

Some modded spells and magic might not trigger dynamic Magicka.
Any mod that tampers with attack speeds or item weights may break dynamic stamina's balance. For example swinging a sword at the speed of light and weights more then your Stamina pool might cause some exponential growth. If this happens you may have to drastically lower the stamina growth multiplier.

Spell Research has been reported as causing problems while dual casting. 
Stamina Matters is not compatible.
Imperious - Races of Skyrim  has been reported to break Dynamic Stamina. Only activate the Magicka module with Imperious.

(Q): The reset button doesn't work?
(A): I am aware and am working on it - Still working on it. 

(Q): Saving and loading doesn't work!
(A): Check your FISS Files, if its still not working leave a comment

(Q): The mod doesn't work and the magic effects aren't my magic menu!
(A): Check you have the required mods, and that you've activated the mod from the mod configuration menu. If it still doesn't work you can add the magic effects using the console. Type ( Help "Dynamic" ) find the spell IDs and (player.addspell ID), not magic effect IDs, SPPEEELLLLL IDS HARRY
