    I'm using an alternate start mod and show up at Winterhold level 1 with no map locations.  I have no intention of running across half the map to find a court wizard as it defeats the purpose of my alternate start mod.  The description lists a setting to modify and people here in the posts have stated it is to be entered into the console.  When I try that I am told the command cannot be found.  What am I doing wrong?

    The mod is ok, but making faralda not selling spells anymore, even if easily revertable, is a completely unnecessary removal of a quality of life feature in my most sincere opinion.

      Not for immersion freaks like me. Why would some one testing you sell you the answer to the test?

      She's there to test your skill of magic, not your memorization of every Novice level spell.

      Yes but in vanilla Skyrim literally any player build can cast novice spells, including two-handed brute characters with no background or knowledge of magic. Imo with this tweak it atleast adds another layer of requirement and if you are meant to enter (i.e. playing a mage with basic spells already learned) then it wouldn't be an inconvenience. That's just my take on it though ;)

      Faralda doesn't ask you to cast *Novice* level spells. All the spells she asks you to cast are *Apprentice* level. They're a good deal less common.

      Since a lot of us use Spell Research and think being able to click-learn spells is silly.....

      This is totally out of context with the mod, but anyone wanting to get in just to speak to the orc, can actually skip having to get past her for this, and just go straight to sigmus... just saying!

    I looked around in all the scripts and stuff but, I can not find this setting anywhere...

    So... sadly i will not be using this fine mod.
    Should add a toggle in mod installer,  instead of having to dig into scripts and internal files.

    This mod presumed to be an "improved college entry" do in fact other things than that. The lecture packages (controlled by scenes who are controlled by quests) added, break packages of some NPCs:
    - Enthir package while TG06 is running.
    - Mirabelle Ervine if used by other package mods. (My Home is Your Home or even if she is used as follower, she break he follower package go doing her "daily duty" (scene) even if she is at ... Markarth).
    - I presume others College followers could be affected by these added daily scenes (Brenyla...).

    Update.
    I have counted 8 vanilla scenes and this mod add 10 lecture packages. Then imagine the number of college NPCs that are affected daily by these scenes if they are used outside the college.

      this is a pretty important bug fix. do you do the conditions equal/or? and i assume getInLoc is supposed to be GetInCurrentLoc?

    During the tour of the "first lessons" I got attacked by a dragon and now the quest seems to be stuck.
    Mirabelle is in the "let's first do the tour"-loop
    and Tolfdir is present in the hall but is only able to sell, spells and talk about the "interesting excavation"...
    What would be the best way to proceed?

    unfortunately I played quite a significant part after the dragon attack so returning to that point isn't really workable

    help would be much appreciated

    Seems to be a couple conflicts with USSEP, like Under Saarthal and another MG quests I forgot.

    hello, i used this mod in a modpack and it worked great, amazing idea :) i wanna add it to my own modlist and have a question, do you know how will it work with mods that alter spells? I'm currently running requiem which makes a lot of changes to spells and i thought it might confuse Faralda during the entry test. Thanks

    I agree to take her test... but she says that I have not yet learned apprentice level spells. I am a expert conjuration user and at the very least could summon a flame atronach. Is there a way I could fix this???

      I'm having the exact same problem. I can cast apprentice spells in every school of magic, and Faralda won't let me in. Were you ever able to fix this?
