    Hi, I had your mod working for a very long time in my load order until when I recently installed DynodoLOD. Now when I bring up the map, I dont get the paper textures any longer. All I see is the vanilla map background (and not synced with the map markers).

    I uninstalled all the DynodoLOD files in MO2 but the same situation persisted even after that. .Do you have any idea what may be the cause?

      I had this problem too. Here's what worked for me.

      Before generating textgen and dyndolod disable all mods related to flat world map. Every. Single. One.

      Generate textgen and install it.

      Generate dyndolod and install it.

      Re-enable your flat world map mods. Make sure they load after dyndolod and occlusion. (You might need to drag the main flat world marker plugin to the occlusion plugin to crate a rule.)

      BAM!

    In regards to formatting the config - are you able to comment lines out?

    Every since I updated my game to 1.6.640, my player map marker as well as the quest map markers refresh at a very fast rate; they're blinking/flashing.

    Is there any mod setting I'm missing that causes this? In vanilla (without mods and additional files) this does not happen...

    Can somebody tell me why this mod causes Vortex to say that "Enderal isn't installed properly"? I am now at around 50h and the game runs swimmingly, yet I still get this annoying message...

      I think it is because vortex still thinks flat map markers needs to be manually added, when actually it is now just part of enderal. From what i have read you can safely ignore that message, although i wish there was a way to disable it (Vortex is annoying, cannot even manually alter load order... perhaps Mod Organiser 2 is better)

    This works fine, I think, except the "current location" marker and the "Windpass Refuge" (from Legacy of the Dragonborn) are not affected. They move wildly around the screen when I move the map. All other map markers, including from other mods like Atlas Map Markers stay in their correct location.

    Anything I can do to fix this? It's literally only those two markers that aren't behaving, and only the LotD one makes sense to me. Seems like "player location" would be included in this.

      I also have Windpass Refuge from Legacy of the Dragonborn floating around the map.

    Sadly, this is not working for Skyrim SE 1.5.97:

    No matter which value I give for markerHeight in the FlatMapMarkersSSE.json, the markers are still floating all over the map; as if the dll and json file were ignored.

    Ignore what I wrote above, because as it turns out: I am an idiot. :-)

    I didn't have the address library plugin installed, and since that is a requirement for the flat map markers to work, it didn't work... With that plugin installed it works like a charm, in Skyrim and Solstheim, with Warburg's Paper World Map.

    I btw. tweaked the marker height a bit for Solstheim, from 180000 to 184000, in order to get rid of the last bit of marker movement:

    {
        "whiteListedWorldSpaces": [
            {
                "name": "Skyrim",
                "editorID": "Tamriel",
                "markerHeight": 354072.968750,
                "enabled": true
            },
            {
                "name": "Solstheim",
                "editorID": "DLC2SolstheimWorld",
                "markerHeight": 184000.906250,
                "enabled": true
            }
        ]
    }

    Please update this mod. It seems to be incompatible with SSE version 1.5.97.

      Under OLD files here: Flat World Map Framework There's a file further down the page titled
      "Flat Map Markers Config for versions 1.5x" You'd just install FMM as usual and then install that file over it. I hope you find what you're looking for, It might take some time to find which one works for you, I know Skyrim considers all updates past Dec 2021 to be AE even if you just have the free updates and not the full AE.

    Wondering about compatibility with Atlas Map Markers?

      This mod, Flat Map Markers (22122), is required for Flat World Map Framework SE (29932) which provides the framework for flat maps. The FWMF specifically lists and recommends Atlas Map Markers.

    If I don't even understand what this mod does, then I probably don't need it...but could somebody please explain it in a comprehensible way what this mod actually does?

    I installed it, but all I noticed was that map markers were gone. I looked into the FlatMapMarkersSSE.json file and found the "markerHeight": setting, but I have no clue what to set it to.

    Anyway, even if it worked, I still wouldn't understand what this mod does. Please explain.

    Thanks

      It flattens out the plane of which the markers are sitting. Originally they are on different Y axis due to the original maps depth. Since paper map is flat, the markers should also be "flat", as in on the same plane, rather than distributed on different Y coordinates.

      It's ONLY for use with flat maps, otherwise it does more harm than good. IMO, it makes the map easier to navigate .

      Does this mean "Only works with the mod Flat World Map Framework" or "Only works with maps which are flat" (like IcePenguin's Paper Map)?

      If you are using a flat map (like all paper style maps), you will need this mod to make all the markers match the map surface.
