The latest version of this mod (3.0.3 at the time of this writing) comes with a new "light" plugin (ESPFE) option. Use this option ONLY if you know what it means to do so. DO NOT try to use the optional ESPFE plugin with an existing savegame, particularly if you are updating Cathedral Landscapes during an existing playthrough. To ensure compatibility with an existing playthrough, choose the ESP plugin option (traditional "fat" plugin).

Also, any other mods using prior versions of Cathedral Landscapes as a master (including custom patches) will cause CTD or ILS if the optional ESPFE  plugin option is selected. Either update those mods and patches, or use the traditional "fat" ESP plugin instead, which will cause no problems whatsoever outside of using a plugin slot as always.

Any chance of including fxdirtmound01.dds (../textures/effects/)?
This texture is used for when dragons land and skid across the ground; making a large ditch where they skid. This affects landscape textures and is usually skipped over by landscape overhauls, leaving users with large mismatched dirt mounts when battling dragons (quite ugly ones being the texture is merely 512x too). Vanilla uses the same textures as "dirt02.dds", but brightened for the effect.

Also in the same boat is impactdecaldragonfoot.dds, however, due to the alpha hiding most of the texture, it's not that big a deal. It too uses dirt02.dds in vanilla, but looks to be a straight copy of the texture this time with the feet imprints applied. Northfire Skidmarks (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72245) does a great job of correcting the shape of the foot imprints, so I'd recommend taking a look for reference.

    This mod looks great!
Should I use the Majestic Mountain (Cathedral Concept) LOD files or are they obsolete?

    Thank you for your work.

I have spent the last week installing various combinations of mods for landscape and grass, I found what I needed all in this one mod, the LOD terrain looks similar enough to the grass that once the grass does load in the transition doesn't make me cringe; and it was a lengthy lesson, learning that grass cannot load further than loaded cells, of which increasing will make the game unstable, and not even Dyndolod can change this. This is the only landscape and grass mod that will make your LOD not look gross.

Moved from Verdant (Admittedly, an older version) and was very happy with the increase in density/performance, and slighly nicer style (especially the Reach. F*** me it's SO nice there now), etc.

I do think Verdant has nicer looking snow grass/snowy regions though... Not sure what it is (Probably placement/density) but when I go to the abandoned house and explore other parts of the Pale for example, the grass just looks a bit awkard compared to how bold and intense the other regions/types do.

No disrespect intended to the Verdant author. I still think Verdant is one of the best grass mods out there. It's just that this slightly edges it out visually, but the main takeaway is that this has noticably better performance for the same density.

    Is this performance-intensive?

I am planning to use this and its mod (Cathedral weathers and season) but dont know if my potato PC can handle it?

Not at all. It might be even more performance friendly than the vanilla game

any idea what might be causing this mismatch in snow color? i have the snow shader turned off, i'm using cathedral weathers and landscapes and while i have skyland landscape texture overhaul, i allowed cathedral landscapes to overwrite it (kept the former for cave interiors and mountain textures, tho maybe the mountains are what's not compatible?)

Make sure in your ini file this is correct - bEnableProjecteUVDiffuseNormals=1

hmmm i checked that and even disabled skyland landscapes and i'm still having the issue :( it's particularly egregious on the roads, too

*edit* for now, using the grass-only version has fixed the problem. i guess there must be a conflict with the snow textures in the full install with something else i'm using.

How does v3.0 pair in with Cathedral - Mushrooms and Cathedral - Plants?

A quick glance and it seems that v3.0 of this mod already includes Cathedral - Mushrooms, so I can get rid of that mod entirely. With Cathedral - Plants though it seems that they're different.

Should I let Plants overwrite Landscapes or vice versa?

Thats actually something you should test ingame. The plant mod doesnt come with normal maps and its intended to use the vanilla normal maps. Landscapes actually comes with plant normal maps, so it should be tested if the plant mod diffuses look good with the landscape normals or not. Maybe the plant mod is also redunant when using landscapes, test it :)

My mushrooms seem to have juicy textures, so it's probably redundant.
