Things I will eventually add: - Buying larger stacks of lumber through stewards. Done in V1.2. - Some display that shows you how many logs you currently have while deciding how many you want to buy. Done in V1.1. - Buying firewood in reasonable quantities, for those people who have too many Dwarven Metal Ingots after looting Mzulft and want to craft a few thousand arrows without wasting eleven years of their lives watching their character chop wood. - Possibly an option to break down sawn logs into firewood, although I'm not quite sure how to consistently balance (default) prices for this functionality. I'm open to suggestions.
Don't use Version 1.2, it's bugged and doesn't check for the correct amounts of gold in your inventory. Upgrade to 1.21!
If someone could find out for me whether BLILS is VR compatible, that would be sweet. Theoretically it should be, but I don't have access to SVR, so I can't confirm it myself.
And thanks for all the kind words and endorsements. I won't reply to every single comment, but I've read and cherished them all. Come here and give me a hug, you little rascals.
I love the idea of this mod.. the execution... not so much
1 - Why is the formid of your record so high? It makes it impossible to ESLify 2 - Why it overrides some LOTD records with the delete flags, this is a bad practice and makes your mod vet susceptible to breaking things when added with other mods
I will not install this mod in that state but if you refactor it and ESLify it, I will be glad to test it for you
I believe it is necessary to delete the regular options, otherwise you will still see them when attempting to buy the logs. The overwrites on LOTD would just mean that in order to buy the logs you would need to first own one of the Hearthfire homes, since all LOTD does is add the condition that you could also be doing the quest to build the Explorer's Guild. What I did is just removed the requirement to own a Hearthfire home from the conditions under the Dialog Topic added by this mod. That way you can always buy lumber, even without owning a home. Also you can just compact and ESL this yourself,

would you consider making a Legendary edition version? I love your mod, it's simple and super helpful. I always hate having to spam that same dialogue over and over again to buy large bulk of lumber.
I know my reply is a bit late, but there will not be a Legendary Edition version for the simple reason that I do not own LE myself. This means I do not have the game files from it that I would need to copy records from, nor could I test the mod myself, which would make troubleshooting/bug hunting impossible. I hope you understand.
It is now June 2021. I recently started modding Skyrim SE and this is one of the first few mods I have implemented.
Just a thought: perhaps make an adjustment for inflation? If you base it on real-life lumber prices you could change in-game lumber from $10 to about $50 per log?!
Anyway, thanks for the mod. 2.5 years later it is still making a gamer's life easier with out making me feel like a cheater.
My steward had three options to buy lumber [...] for [...]. The middle option did get me 100 logs so the mod works fine, just the numbers won't show up for some reason.
Edit: Went to check the nearby mill and they also had only ... to show for the options.
someone should make an encounter attack mod where once you have finished building the Lakeview house, Hert and Hern come to attack you as vampires at the manor (cause they now know where you live)

Would it be possible to convert it to epsfe? So it doesn't take a plugin slot
It should be, if I remember correctly, any .esp containing 2048 or fewer records is safe to flag, and this one contains about 20ish.

Why isn't this mod a part of the Anniversary Edition, it's far better than a load of the CC that comes with that!!!
Simple mod that improves the game no end, thank you, thank yo, thank you.

Definitely planning on using this, though.
I wish you a blissful experience regardless. Have fun!
Thanks for doing some building, I'll download it right away..
Oh, and nice wordplay. :)
