    Such an underrated mod, but definitely one of my favs! Genuinely a must-have for me.

    Could we please have some screenshots of what this looks like in-game? Thanks!

      Sorry for a late reply,
      It doesn't look like anything. It's not a visible quickslot, it's a positional quickslot. So you move your vr controller over your shoulder for example, and click the appropriate button, and it'll equip what ever is in that slot.

      An example would be, i had over my right shoulder, lightning bolt, equipped to both hands. Above my head was telekinesis. Over my left breast/heart was a healing spell. I would just move the controller to that location, click the trigger and it would equip that spell.
      You would get some vibration feedback when you're in the correct spot.

      Oh and everything is relative to your headset so if you're looking to the side, well all your "hot spots" would move too.

      It was a great mod with great potential but the developer stopped working on it. I wanted to take over, but the github is incomplete. There are probably other mods that do it better now.

    Is there something like "cycle between spells/shouts you have in inventory" command, formID or anything else?

    I might use this and VR Body instead of VRIK. Combat stance changes player height and twists the body a bit which causes inconsistency with using holsters, quivers, slots, duck to sneak, and up on tip toes to jump. Hopefully VR Body is not buggy and does not have combat stance.

    This mod is a total game changer! It took me a while to set it the way the slots are easily reachable while playing on Katwalk Mini, but it now works like a charm. It even seems that you can have overlapping slots and the one you activate is the one closest to the center.

    One thing I came across and which may help others: sometimes saving an item in the game gives you the long edit haptic feedback, but in the end the slot is empty. Looks like the reason is that those item have only "bad editor id" when you run player.showinventory - my guess is that it's an issue with another mod they come from. After I figured that out I just equipped something else. :)

    Great job!

      You should be able to open the console in game type 'help "item name" ' (use the double quotes if the name includes spaces) and get the item's ID. Sometimes Bethesda games will add a prefix to all of the items from a particular mod, so the item ID may be different in my game than in yours, and the only way to get the ID is through console help.

    as a way to indicate where we're hovering to grab/stow, can you display the current selection where the location popup is or something? some way to say "Here's what you're grabbing" or "Here's what slot that's gonna occupy"

    Great mod, i'm having problems assigning shields and torches though. Works if i enter ID directly into XML but not if i try to assign it in game.

    @frazaman

    Could each controller have separate button/axis IDs for left and right hand, and then have it as a quickslot attribute? I know I've been quite vocal about this. I'm trying to look through the source to see if it's possible, but this is all way above my head.
    Something like this.

    <quickslot name="backrightLHTr" posx="0.2" posy="-0.2" posz="0.3" deviceid="2" activatebutton="33">
    <equipitem formid="000139AD"></equipitem> <!-- equip ebony bow -->
    </quickslot>
    <quickslot name="backrightRHTr" posx="0.2" posy="-0.2" posz="0.3" deviceid="1" activatebutton="33">
    <equipspell formid="0002f3b8"slot="1"></equipspell> <!-- fast healing spell right hand -->
    </quickslot>
    <quickslot name="waistleftLHTPad" posx="-0.3" posy="-0.9" posz="0.0 deviceid="2" activatebutton="32"">
    <equipspell formid="00043324"slot="2"></equipspell> <!-- candlelight left hand-->
    </quickslot>
    <quickslot name="waistleftLHTr" posx="-0.2" posy="-0.9" posz="0.175" deviceid="2" activatebutton="33">
    <equipspell formid="0001a4cc" slot="2"></equipspell> <!-- equip telekinesis in left hand -->
    </quickslot>

    2 slots, same hotspot position, but requiring different buttons to activate them. The bow only activating on the left hand trigger, the healing spell on the right hand trigger.
    Left waist, left hand touchpad = candlelight.
    Left waist, left hand trigger = telekinesis

    "deviceID, hmd = 0, right controller 1, left controller = 2"

    With being able to choose our activate button, it looks like it's soo close to being able to do this.
    Since it could give us dozens of quick slots, while only using a few hot spots around our bodies. I have 8 hotspots personally. I could get over 100 quickslots out of that. More than i could ever use.

    If someone has issues with their XMLs, feel free to send me a private message, since i think it sends me an email, so you aren't waiting a week for a reply.
    I'll do my best to help you out.

    This is such an essential mod for SkyrimVR that I want more people to use it, and to enjoy it. It was a literal game-changer for me. The game was a pain, and wasn't fun having to go into so many menus and favorites to select my most common spells. Since i might have to switch spells 5 times in a fight.
    And SkyrimVR just wasn't fun because of all the menu scrolling..

    But with this mod, it was a game changer. I could quickly select my spells without having to stop combat or open menus or anything like that.

    It's actually such a great mod, I've been keeping an eye on all the recent changes to the source code, so i can try to figure out what new features we might be getting.

    So I've got both the quickslot mod and the vrtools installed. I've gotten to my xml file, and I have change the Item ID value to a iron daggers Id code.. 0001397E ( gotten from in game, hoping that code is right). I set all 7 slots to same code with the hope I can find just one slot. No luck yet. I believe I have a good understanding of using the xml and finding the ID codes from the game (which is all you need to know to operate this mod), but setup seems to be difficult for this mod. I did read the connecting article to this mod page I'm bit fearful to delete the xml file and start fresh. I cant see the slots in game so how can you figure how to move them without a least knowing where 1 is to get started. So I'm asking 3 questions here. 1) Is there anything I can do to confirm the mod is working without blindly finding the slot? 2) The coordinate data in the xml, I get sort of how it works and how I can modify it but cant do that with out at least finding 1 slot to get started. Can anyone who has their slots configured in the right positions and running provide the x y z coordinates they have inputted into the xml so I can confirm that's not the issue I'm suffering? 3) long shot question...Is there anything I can due to make these slots visible so I can find the slots? I hope Im being clear, and additionally I hope I have the right understanding of the proper operation of this mod. It definitely would be one of the best mods I have running if I get it setup right. Thanks in advance to anyone who reads and takes the time to respond to it.

      1: You will know you're over a slot, when it vibrates, just moving the controller over your head should trigger one. Since they do have haptic feedback.

      They don't go into the normal XML that comes with the mod. It'll generate a NEW xml that's specific to your character. The NEW xml that has a bunch of letters and numbers in the name.
      vrcustomquickslots_F50DE32C.xml for example.

      The default XYZ that it gives your slots is pretty good for a standing position. Though not so much for a seated play style like my own.

      #2 and #3, no on the visible, but there is haptic feedback if your controller supports it and it's enabled in the xml. IE if you touch a slot, it'll pulse really quick. If you're not getting any vibrations at all... and you do have haptics, then there may be a chance your controller isn't installed right.
