The story behind this mod is the story of a bug in my head.

I'm a mod user for years, I saw any kind of mod dealing with spell crafting, some mod does it good (but still has boundaries) others are redundant and with useless un-immersive quests to use this feature. Others are overly complex and require tools, and it just feels like cheating.
The reality is that Skyrim hates mages, and Beth gave us the Macintosh, no freedom. Luckily there are tons of spell packages mods out there of talented modder with the wildest fantasy, this is what we can do! What i thought i needed is a mod, "One ring to rule them all". A price for the services of the Daedric prince of Knowledge to access to all this library.

This mod is truly amazing, I love its simplicity. Honestly the only thing missing is a way to make the crafting furniture more accessible. Maybe even getting rid of world edits for more compatibility. A spell to conjure and dispel the crafting stating or maybe a token that allow us to place it somewhere would be great. Because as of now the access is pretty limited to late game and in case someone wants to play a spell crafter from rags to riches they won't be able to until they finished Septimus' quest in the earliest and even then they'd have to constant go there to use it.

I'm glad you liked the mod, but what you say is not completely true.

You can access to the "Pocket dimension of apocrypha" in any moment of the game. You just need to travel to the outpost (Winterhold and then heading all north) and have a filled black soulgem. The quest of septimus signus isn't in any way connected, and i don't know how you got to that conclusion.
Also, as explained in the description of the mod, "Source" furniture are present in a separate cell and can be accessed to mod author or whoever wants to place a spell crafting station in his skyrim easily accessible. World edits are only present in the outpost of septimus signus because i wanted a basic storytelling, if there are mods that modify semptimus signus outpost, I'm very open to patches but in 6 years nobody mentioned any conflicts.

      Thanks for your feedback.
Ps: Mark and recall spells are your friends, you can find those in my spell pack "La Bella magia - Spell compendium".

I thought it was needed to complete the quest because nothing happens when I talk to the Wretched Abyss in Septimus' Outpost, is reachable lvl 1 and there's no conflict, but I guess it must be some load order issue then. Still would be able to have a spell or even a console command for debug purposes so we can reach the realm in which the forge is.

(And yes, I have a filled black soul gem in my inventory, in fact I have many) I'll try to move things around in my LO, maybe change for the esp version, see if makes any difference. Thanks for the fast reply.

    simple yet amazing <3

just wanted to give a shout out to this. I'm playing around in chanterelle it's made with little to no magic in mind on purpose. I added the furniture sources to the chozo pool area and it's amazing and kinda fits. now on my mage playthroughs I have access to learning magic. :)

thank you for putting the work into this!

Never thought about it until now how it makes no sense we could craft weapons & armor (for the non-mage) but not spell tomes for a mage playthrough. As long as there are proper conditions - like can only be an expert alteration mage to craft expert alteration spells, etc - I think this is well balanced. I do think it needs perk integration though (just like you can't craft items in skyrim without the proper perk). Since there is more than one spell tome for the same type of spell with varying power (going from novice to master) it wouldn't make sense to make crafting perks with the same design as the crafting tree - granting the ability to improve a spell by twice as much. Even though I don't think you should mirror the design of the vanilla crafting tree, I do think you should implement some form of perk integration: maybe add a single crafting perk to each school or a magic crafting branch to the vanilla crafting tree. Not sure.

nope, perk requirement is bad for overhauls like ordinator and such

Late comment but creating weapons and armor is pretty straightforward. If you know how to work with the material then you are just putting it in a certain shape. When it comes to spells however you either need to learn the spell or create the spell. Which is similar to spell research's form of learning rather than putting things together.

This seems like a really cool mod. I hate it when my brilliant mage is reduced to seeing if some vendor has a copy of a spell, because apparently inventing spells is completely beyond him. And since I love Apocrypha and Hermaeus Mora, this seems like an ideal approach to the problem.

Edited because it's working for me now. The problem was really stupid: I had this mod confused with the very similarly named Agent of Hermaeus Mora SE. I had meant to have both mods, but somehow did not have this one installed.

I like it but can you make it so the menu has more spells for to learning? Instead of just 3 (IT only shows 3 but rotates to more mods if you make them are use tomb switcher.)

The crafting system is based on leveled list, so is completely random, there is 1 item per level of skill wich is more than enough to craft the tome you need, if you have already another tome use the tome switcher. Is not a fixed constructionable object, is dynamic because you can have more than 1 mod that adds spells.
