I stumbled on this mod when searching for a fix for the notorious wild, thrashing wagon bug in the game's opening scene. In my case, it was the Immersive Armors mod that caused it, specifically Ralof's replacement armour. If there's more than a moment's delay in equipping the new armour, the bug kicks in. At the instant the new armour, which includes large pauldrons, is equipped, it collides with the sides of the wagon and away it goes. I agree with the mod author's rationale for this patch, so it kills two birds with one stone.
Sorry for the way late reply - I no longer play with immersive armors, so I won't be working on this. The permissions on this mod are wide open though, so anyone is welcome to make any changes they want and upload it anywhere.
Apologies in advance as I know this is an 'old' post but for anyone who does come across this, restoring the gag is possible via unchecking the alternate start option under extra options in immersive armors in MCM. (It will work even if you use that mod) came across that info somewhere and it worked for me, hopefully, it will for you too..
It would be cool if Hadvar and Ralof had their normal sets at the beginning, but officer armor when we see them at The Battle of Whiterun, they do get promoted after all.
I thought Ralof was one of Ulfric's top lieutenants thought? I'm pretty sure that's what Hadvar says in one of his dialogue lines. I don't know though.
Hey! Thanks for this. I want to give IA a go, but I too was bothered by the armors showing up in the beginning cart ride to Helgen. This is exactly what I needed! :-)
LOL. Encountered that bug on my first playthrough after adding IA. After that, I saved immediately after climbing out of the wagon, before they ask you your name. So now I just start from that save for a new game, select race and name, and roll out.
How would I use only the esp you've made to correct the armours on Ralof and Hadvar please? Sorry to what would seem a stupid question, I'm very new to the scene.
No problem - we all start somewhere. The answer will depend on what mod manager you're using (if any) or if you're installing manually. If you're installing manually, just copy the file "Jawbone_IA_Ralof_Hadvar_Fix.esp" into your Data folder ("{skyrimse path}\Data"). If you're using Mod Organizer 2, you can either: a) double click the mod in the left pane, switch to the Optional ESPs tab, and move the file "Jawbone_IA_CraftingOnly.esp" up to the top panel, or b) uncheck that same file "Jawbone_IA_CraftingOnly.esp" in the Plugins tab of the right pane. If you're using Vortex or NMM or something else, I can't help you, but there ought to be a similar process. Basically you only want to use "Jawbone_IA_Ralof_Hadvar_Fix.esp".
