From the description: "Only mods that alter the exact same thing would be incompatible, and I don't think any other mods do." (Yes Ordinator is compatible).
But afaik there are perk overhauls that change the magicka cost per skill level, Adamant for example. In that case it would probably be necessary to load your plugin after the perk overhaul - right? Not sure if a patch would be needed as well
Huh, you're right. I'd never heard of Adamant before, but it looks like it does change the magicka cost level scaling. Loading my mod after it should work perfectly fine though.
I'm pretty sure loading my mod after Adamant would not affect anything else at all in that mod besides the magicka cost level scaling. I've never used that mod and just found out about it from you, so I can't tell you 100%. But I'm 95% sure.
I first tried the 80% version, I now use 90%, for months at this point, & it is a permanent fixture in my mod list.
Thanks for this, this has opened up a lot of playstyles I wouldn't be able to use otherwise. With mods like Wounds that lower total magicka conditionally, I'm going to be able to use SOMETHING no matter how injured I am & how low my magicka pool gets. With Experience, I never have to worry about powerleveling too high & making spells too cheap too soon, but I have played without skill caps before & I recommend that as well! If you play on higher difficulties, freeing yourself from dumping points into magicka makes for a more survivable, fun character. Or makes stamina more valuable if you play with super low carry weight!
Yes, this mod should be compatible with Better Wards! I've never yet in 5 years run across a mod that changes the exact same thing that this mod does, and that is the only way a mod would be incompatible. And no worries, you're not bothering me! Thanks for the polite question, and your endorsement!
I'm not sure why bethesda loves to make spells cost 2x the effect they give out I know this was probably asked before, but it's past 1AM and I'm about to passout will this work with odin / ordinator, those 2 mods all but overhaul the magic system with spells and perks alike also there's a mod that chances the dual casting cost from 2.8 base cost / 2.2 damage output into something like 1.5 MP / 2.0 DMG or 2.0 MP and 2.5 and a few other variants will those 2 (or 3) mods work with this one?
Yep, those should all be compatible! The only way a mod would not be compatible is if it contained a tweak to the exact same thing that this mod changes, and I really (really) don't think those or any other mod I've heard of change the same thing. Let me know if you find an incompatibility, but no one has found one in the 5 years this mod has been out so I'm pretty sure it's compatible with everything out there.
Hey, just wanted to pop by and say thanks for your work! All of your mods just *make sense* to use; it feels as if they should've been in the game in the first place. I use almost all of them!
I'm actually not sure whether followers use the same system of magicka costs or not, so I can't give you a definitive answer I'm afraid. I would lean toward that they probably do, but also NPCs tend to have huge magicka pools in comparison to the player, so most of the time it wouldn't make that much of an impact anyway.

Is this mod safe to install/uninstall mid playthrough though?

I'm sorry if I'm bothering you.
