Unique Bows Collection
------------------------------------------
modification for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition game
created by Artisanix 2013/02/28 for original Skyrim
converted by Artisanix 2018/11/28 for Skyrim Special Edition

Description:
------------------------------------------
This mod adds 10 new unique bows to the game (new meshes + new textures). All bows are artifacts, placed in various locations all over the Skirim. Should be quite a lore friendly too, as each has a history, briefly mentioned in Trebonius Catanius' diary, which is the source of all information needed to track these valuables.

All bows have the stats between glass and daedric bows known from original game. And have unique enchantments as well. They can be tempered, as well as their copies crafted in an unenchanted form.

Installation:
------------------------------------------
- Copy UniqueBows.esp, UniqueBows.bsa, UniqueBows - Textures.bsa files to "Skyrim Special Edition\Data" folder
(default path from Steam's main folder is usually: Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data).
- Start the game, go to MODS menu / Load Order section, and enable UniqueBows.esp file. Then load your any save and play the game.

Playing:
------------------------------------------
Go to the basement of the Blue Palace in Solitude(*) and search for Trebonius Catanius' Chest there. Inside it is his diary in which he mentions the locations and names of the bows. Though all of them won't be that easy for you to find even while they are all placed inside of specific ornate chests. Some of these chests may be spotted instantly if you arrive at the destination, while other can be hidden in the shadows or "behind the obvious place". But none is placed in any crazy spot normally impossible to find - each chest is at the end of particular location(**) mentioned in Trebonius' diary.

(*) the mentioned "basement" of the Blue Palace is not a separate cell, it's just the room with many beds for servants/guards in the main area of the palace (to go there take the small corridor left from main stairs leading to the throne, then take the stairs down to the basement section).

(**) "the end of particular location" expression should be interpreted as the area where the main boss specific to that location usually is.

Cheating... I mean, testing in the name of the science, of course:
------------------------------------------
If you aren't of an adventurer type and want to obtain all bows quickly just:

1)
type in game's console the following command:
help "Chest Of Bows"
the game should display chest's ID for you (hexadecimal number with 8 digits)

2)
then type in the console:
player.placeatme XXXXXXXX
where XXXXXXXX is that hex ID taken from the output of the previous command
after this the chest should be placed under your character's feet, open it and browse its valuable content to your heart's desire.

3)
If you want to get rid of the chest, just with the console open, click on the chest, so its ID should be displayed in brackets in top center of the console, then type: disable and press enter, then the chest should disappear.

Removal:
------------------------------------------
Such thing as removal of this mod does not exist, but if you must then delete the same files you copied previously during the installation process.

Known Issues / Compatibility:

------------------------------------------
This mod adds only the new stuff. It doesn't overwrite or change anything from the original game thus incompatibility with other mods has been reduced to minimum.

Properties of the bows:
------------------------------------------
Due to a short quotes added to the descriptions of the bows, and the complexity of the enchantments on them, there are no specific details about damage present in each of the bow's description in game. That's because if such detailed information would be provided there, then the game would shrink the font of the description to a very small size making it rather unreadable.

So for those curious I provide more details about effects of all the bows here:
