I love the look of this but I was planning on using JK's Skyrim. I guess they aren't possible to use together? I'm not familiar with the oldrim mods so I'm not sure how they compare...do you have a sense of the difference between JK's version and this one?

Did you ever find out if this was compatible with JK's? I'd like to use both as well.

I found a couple of trees in the middle of a pathway that had to be disabled in order to use the stairs.  A very few minor clips of tree branches too close to walls, but almost un-noticeable.  All in all, it's great.  Disable those 2 trees and enjoy.

FYI (if your system is up to it) here's a gorgeous combination for Markarth:
      JK's Skyrim
      This mod
Paradise City (can select Markarth only in FOMOD) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10135
      Blubbo's Addons for Markarth https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/33200

You'll need to disable/mark-for-delete a few trees on stairways.  Other than that, it'll look AMAZING.

For the walk up to the city, use Renewed Exterior Markarth  https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27327
Blubbo's has an alternate walk-up exterior for Markarth, but it has a lot of clipping with REM.
REM has a patch for Better City Entrances https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2380 but I find too many of the other cities have clipping/navmesh issues to use that one myself.

Just want to thank you for this. There are hardly any mods ported that are JUST for Markarth. Almost all of them are all-in-one things and I really like how I have them tailored in my game. Thank you for bringing a little more life to the city!

LOL way ahead of you bud. Already ported JK's markarth, Dawn of Markarth, compatibility patches, and sky city markarth rising. Plus additional NPC mods make it much more lively.

Would still love a proper city expansion mod that makes it as big as whiterun.

    Thanks tho!

Well my main focus at the moment is the Towns and Villages Enhanced mods from Oldrim, if I somehow get permission to use all of them, as my goal is to create an All in one package that can seriously overhaul pretty much every city in Skyrim.

I hope you do get permission! The TAVE series was my FAVORITE on Oldrim, and I'm really missing the look it gave my game!

Does this also change the interior of Markath?

    Question, if I may.

Immersive Citizens list the original Towns and Villages Enhanced as compatible. Does this piece (ie, Markarth) remain so?

    Thanks!

As of now it is fully compatible, might need a compatibility patch later on if I end up making some layout changes to the pathways.

I've found 2 clipping bugs from my quick time of testing. There is a gap between meshes connecting the path texture and the stone wall near the exit of Markarth ruins and the hall of the dead and the second is left of the treasury where the pine tree is clipping through a rock on the mountain.

Thanks for reporting, will look into it.

Update: Fixed the tree clipping, was unable to find any clipping near Markarth Ruins and Hall of the Dead, can you provide any additional information on that?

Sorry I don't know how to better describe it. It's right above the smith. I uploaded a picture to my account if you can look at that. If you walk out from the Markarth ruins and overlook the smith it's right where the road texture meets the brick.
