I've just added ENB to my VR installation. I've been playing VR for quite a while, but without ENB and without any darkening mods, because in VR if it's too dark, I just can't play the game.

Now, with ENB, Obsidian and your preset, everything is simply too dark. Even in the daylight, the scene is always kinda moody in bright sunshine. And the nights are completely unplayable, almost pitch black, even with a torch, which is WAY too dark.

Besides the Obsidian, ENB Helper VR, the Particle Patch and your setup I have nothing I'm aware of which would effect the brightness.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Didnt work due to all the mods you listed that were actually intended for Special Edition, not VR. Thanks for wasting 5 hours of my life, I wouldnt recommend this mod list, its crap. Odds of it breaking your game are much higher than it actually working. and im running 3080ti + 32gb ram + i9 intel liquid cooled core with a carbon fiber gaming ASUS motherboard that is currently 10 days old, so if my computer cant run it....... who's even could?

after i testet rly much.... i dont understand why you use verdant and Skyrim Flora O. Trees...

With many combinations and Texturemods and and and... Skyrim Flora Overhall kills performance and
Verdant is maybe the performance killer nr.1 ^^ Even with my 2080ti.... and with the verdant 1k Textures.
    its the performance Killer nr.1

    Sry to say this.

but after few Days Testing i have to say.... your Combo isnt good.

Performance AND Optik are much away from the combo i use now..

    Tipp ?

Vividweather + MintyL + Vivid enb + SMIM + RAS Ice + NoSnowUR + realistikDynamiksnow + BlowingITW + 3D Landscapes + 3D Trees and Plants + RLWater.(And some other small s#*! like Rug Mods... but this is on you Own ^^)

This is the Way to go ^^

DONT USE FX Mods aller RLO or ELFX..... To much Problems with Bugs and compatibility Probs....
no Playerhome Mod like Breezhome will Work with with them, even with the Patches.
Eats more Performance than all the Other Mods.... and the Optik isnt it Worth because the SSE Vanila
    Shadow Systm isnt so Bad....

and Flora Overhall suxs in Performance to...Optik AND Performance are much more with 3D Trees and Plants + 3D Landscapes.

    And i Playing with a Luiquid Cooled I9 + 2080ti System....

    Realy... test it out....

But Anyway... thanks for your Work ! :) ( and sry for my bad English xD)

Tried it with Obsidian Weathers. Performance is more or less on par with my old combo (natural vision enb and Dolomite) but looks better so far. Running on a 1080 ti with openvr and forced asw 45fps. Thank you

The mod is beautiful .. but even my RTX 2080 can not support the hardware requirements ..

Fire now looks amazing, and the shadows are very nice. I going to have to play around with turning a few settings off though to see if I can up the fps a bit. One thing I think isn't as intended in my game is interior lighting. The filter seems too strong, making light sources dim and giving too much of a glow to everything. Should I not be running ELE and ELFX with this enb, because I do have both? I don't use ELFX enhancer or darkening options though.

Which Weather mod do you have CoT or Obsidian ? I can't say for sure but yes ELE and ELFX are qualified to be the culprit for your interior issues. You can try to desactive them and see if interiors looks better. My guess is that it should. I personally Don't use ELE, i have RLO instead and my mod was calibrated to work best with RLO + CoT combo.

Just re-bodging my VR game after an absence of a few months and I'm going to try this set up out.
One curiosity:*Player_Shadows.esp is on your list.
Which mod supplies this, please? You don't link that one.
    Thank you!

That's linked in my recommended mods as "Torches cast shadows". This esp stands for the 2.2 version which doesn't require SKSE64. SKSE64 wasn't available for VR by the time i was developping my mod so i haven't tested the last version yet which has a different name for esp. I'll check and will update the front page accordingly to clarify. Thanks.

First of all, thanks for the awesome ENB! I just tested this out on my Rift and it looks excellent! Love the realistic NLA/NVT vibe, and water looks way better. Performance is decent too; I get locked ASW on a GTX 980 even in performance-intensive areas, which is fine by me.

However, I'm having an issue where nights are way too bright, much brighter than your screenshots. Everything is grey instead of black, including the sky. Interiors are a tad bright for my liking too, although not nearly as bad.

I'm using the Obsidian Weathers version with ENB binary 0.354. Any ideas why this might be happening, or what parameters I could edit to fix it? Thanks in advance!

      Thanks for your comment !
The screenshots of the mod were taken from the COT/RLO version which have no such issues. So, yes you are right, the Obsidian version has some issues with too bright nights and some interiors. I'm aware of this and and i'll try to provide a fixed version asap.
You know, setting an ENB is a subtle science of finding the right balance with all the values. As soon as you change something there, other thing may be broken elsewhere so you have to consider your first way again. It may take time to set it right and even more time to test every change in VR but be assured i'm working on it. I hope i will be able to upload a better version for Obsidian before the end of this year! ;)
      Please stay tuned, cheers !

Thanks for the reply! I'm glad it's a known issue and that you're working towards a fix. I understand what you mean about it being a subtle science: I tried to tweak some nighttime values myself, with zero success. As far as I'm concerned, ENB preset authors are wizards. Eagerly awaiting your updated version!

Hey, thank you so much for your hard work getting the update out! Unfortunately, my nights are still very bright. I'm wondering if the issue is on my end, although I'm not sure what the problem would be.

      Hey ! Yeah, that's unfortunate !
First thing you can try to do is to delete the content of your "enbcache" folder. It's located in your SkyrimVr's root folder.
Then give the game a go to check if the problem is gone.
Also, do you have a special night vision on, like Khajiits or vampire characters have ?
After those checks, if the problem persists still, then it should be mod related. Check the mods you have installed, especially mods that change lighting or enhance for night vision.
