INTRODUCTION
This is the first mod in what I am calling my “ANTI-GRIND” series. I am trying to remove the tediousness and metagaming from Skyrim, particularly in the first few levels. The mod is based off of the vanilla game, but for those of you who like “Dead is Dead” type mods or overhauls such as “Yash” or “Requiem” you may find these extra-appealing.

BRIEF OVERVIEW
This mod creates a large assortment of jewelry, armor, robes and clothes that assists the player in leveling (practicing) any desired skill. Each item provides a 20% increase in the leveling rate of ONE OF THE EIGHTEEN SKILLS up to Level 25. Once a skill has reached level 25, the leveling rate of that particular skill will return to normal.

The idea came to me as I was training with practice dummies. Why should I just stand there swatting at these things? Also, why should only certain skills be eligible? So, this should work very well in conjunction with any mods that provide training capabilities.

DESCRIPTION
A complete list of all items is below. All items were created with vanilla assets. This was to ensure that the mod would be as compatible as possible. Also, each item can be disenchanted. They do not provide enchanting experience, nor do they provide knowledge of their existing enchantment as it is a useless enchantment after Level 25. Rather, they provide knowledge in some useful base enchantments as shown in the last line of the respective header

All items can be purchased, some can also be crafted at a forge

Purchased
All items are available for sale from vendors in the five major holds. The magical items are available for sale at the College of Winterhold. Lockpicking and Pickpocket items are available for sale by Tonilia. Imperial and Stormcloak items are only available for sale by the Quartermasters at their respective camps.

Crafted
The non-faction armors and shields can be crafted with the same materials used to craft their unenchanted counterparts. However, there is a twist. An additional alchemy ingredient is needed to complete the respective item. The ingredients used are plentiful, easily obtained and obvious in their selection.

INSTALLATION
Install with your favorite Mod Manager into your Skyrim\Data folder.

INSTALLATION OF PATCHES

Yash Patch

This patch should be used only if you have installed the fantastic YASH by dAb. The patch adds the items to the vendor containers so thy can be sold. Make sure you have YASH working properly before installing the patch. The patch should be below the YASH2.esp in your load order. In addition, a batch file named YASH2PMP.txt is included. This file should be moved directly into your Skyrim Special Edition subdirectory (not the Data subdirectory). The batch file is a custom edit of the StartingSkills.txt file that dAb explains completely on his mod page. It should be run according to those same instructions. The edits just change all skills that originally start with "0" (zero) to "1" (one). This is just preventative to make sure the multipliers work correctly.

INSTALLATION OF OPTIONAL FILE

Helgen Love
The optional file adds a little "love" to the vanilla start and Helgen. It creates a few leveled item lists that provide a chance that some of the items added by the mod will appear in four specific locations in Helgen.

Those areas being

Gunnar's gear 100% chance
The Warden's Chest     75% chance
Mage Prisoner50% chance
Torturer's Satchel  50% chance

The main file is required. The optional file is compatible with Alternate Start - Live Another Live.

COMPATIBILITY
The mod only uses vanilla assets, so it should be very compatible. The mod does modify certain vendor chests, so any mods that modify these chests will conflict unless a patch is made. All texture and mesh mods should be compatible. If I am notified of an incompatibility, I will do my best to keep up on patches for them.

Soapbox Comment on Compatibility

No matter your modding skill, I believe you are doing yourself and the modding community a disservice by not having a basic knowledge in SSEdit. Almost every question that starts with “Is this mod compatible with _____” can be answered by installing this mod, the mod in question and viewing both mods in SSEdit; with the basic knowledge that “Green is Good” and “Red is Bad.” That is what the mod designers will do, that is what I will do, so it is also something that you can learn to do.

REQUIREMENTS
*
Skyrim SE. I am using v1.5.50.08 for compatibility with other mods I am using, but any legal version should work
*
All DLC

CREDITS
*
The Modding Community for inspiration

GENERAL OTHER STUFF
*
Cleaned with TES5Edit

Future Updates
* Patch for compatibility with YASH2 - The vendor containers need to be patched Done
* All items were created with vanilla assets. This ensures optimal compatibility, but also optimal boredom. I would love to have unique designs and textures for the jewelry and the armor. I have just started experimenting with Blender, so timing-wise who knows.
* An MCM menu would be ideal so individuals could set their specific skill rates. We’ll see.

User Comments Appreciated
