Hey, Is this patch different/more up to date than the one in the optional files on the Morrowloot Ultimate Nexus page? Trying to figure out which one to use.

Not sure what exactly you're referring to. I can't find any IW patch on either the MLU or MLU Community Patches pages. As far as I know, this is the most up-to-date patch and the only one that includes the weapon damage balances.

He might mean the immersive armors patch, which is an easy mistake to make. He might also mean the two other patches there are for immersive weapons that are not on MLU.

Yep, there is only Armors patch on MLU nexus. MLU Community Patches page doesnt contain Immersive wepons or armors at the moment. MLU Community Patches.
However, I found a predecessor to this mod right here: Morrowloot Immersive Weapons Patch ( MLU - IW )
So if anyone is confused - MLU - Immersive Weapons Patch is newer and Morrowloot Immersive Weapons Patch ( MLU - IW ) is older. Prefer newer one.
But since MLU and WACCF has been updated, I dont know if this is still needed. If anybody has info, please share.
Also, since I use Containers and Leveled Lists Fixes - Complete Loot Overhaul I guess I will have to prepare myself to create a manual patch anyways (for the first time). If I find out anything useful while patching I will share but cannot say if succeed...

Okay I might be wrong but from what I can tell this patch needs the other Morrowloot Immersive Weapons Patch ( MLU - IW ) to work. The reason is it doesn't change the IW level lists themselves used by the vanilla level lists. It tries to cut off higher level gear by removing the higher level lists but the lower level lists themselves go up to daedric and dragonbone. If I understand correctly (please correct me if I'm wrong) this is a huge mistake and will break MLU balance.

I've checked both of the plugins against each other, and it looks like the older one has better leveled lists, but this one is more extensive and makes changes to constructible objects. It also makes changes to a good deal of weapons, which is more than the older one which only did dragonbane. So I would probably use both of them. Also, the third Immersive Weapons MLU patch is here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/38083. It only makes changes to constructible objects.

This mod can be flagged with ESL flag so it doesn't count towards the load order limit.

Thank you! Going to try this out today. Was bummed how weak IW was with MLU's changes, now I can hopefully branch out without feeling like I'm gimping myself. Thanks for putting in the work.

    2 questions

    1. does it work with vortex
    2. I don't use MLU, can I still use this patch for the leveled lists fix of Immersive Weapons

      1. It's just an .esp, so it should work just fine with Vortex.
      2. One of the .esp's masters is MLU.esp, so no you can't. Additionally, this patch's leveled lists changes don't even match non-MLU's loot distribution and I've tweaked damage values for a lot of different IW weapons so, even if you could use it without MLU, doing so wouldn't be recommended in the slightest.

Do you use a bashed patch? I did the bashed patch, it absorbed your patch like it should ... but didn't get the leveled list changes from your patch. It just mirrors what Immersive Weapons does which doesn't take MLU into account. Thoughts?

I haven't really touched Skyrim in a couple months, but I'm actually not really sure if this works okay with bashed patches. I know I used smashed patches myself alongside this patch (and others that I made for IW and other weapon mods to balance with MLU), but I can't actually remember if they worked alright. I guess until someone decides to make a better patch then you can just leave this .esp out of the bashed patches you make (you've probably already been doing this).

You are correct. I deactivate the patch in MO2's left-pane (deactivating the plugin in the right-pane curiously still results in the patch getting absorbed into the bashed patch), make the bashed patch, and then re-activate your patch putting it below the bashed patch. That seems to preserve the leveled-list.

And stuff that "someone making a better patch" nonsense. Your patch IS the better patch and essential for any playthrough of IW and MU

The solution is to manually add "delev" and "relev" bash tags in Wrye Bash on this mod's esp plugin before building the bashed patch. Don't load this patch here below the bashed patch because any other changes (e.g. additions) to the same leveled lists will not take effect.

I tried adding those tags as you suggested, but it is still as I said. The leveled list changes from this patch are just not applied to the bash patch.

will this patch fix my problem? My problem being Immersive weapons not appearing in level lists. I can craft them but i never find them on enemies or in chests

EDIT: It looks like it did it. Thank you!

I don't suppose you could update this patch to remove the Dwemer gear IW adds from being constructed without the Ancient Knowledge perk?

That's a good suggestion! I'll take a look at it later today or tomorrow.

      EDIT: Done.

EDIT 2: Forgot some stuff, just uploaded actually done version

Great stuff, thanks! I appreciate you adding the ebony, daedric, and dragon steel stuff as well.

New question ... have you ever used Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18994) with Immersive Weapons and MLU?

Actually, I balanced the weapons to fall in line with WACF changes as well. There were only a few specific weapons that WACF changed and I think all of them just edited the damage (from what I could see). I'm currently using all three (plus other weapon mods which I've made my own personal patches to balance) and as far as I can tell, there aren't any problems.

      Much obliged!

    Great work!

Unfortunately this will only work for the Special Edition of Skyrim and not for the Legendary Edition, correct?
