    Locked
    Sticky
    Version 1.6.0
    - Added Enhanced Melee Feedback (Attack, Power Attack, Bash, Block)
    - Fixed another bug that caused spellcasting feedback to continue after releasing trigger.

    Version 1.5.0
    - Fixed a bug that caused spellcasting feedback to continue after releasing trigger.
    - Added Arrow Release haptic feedback after a delay.
    - Added Haptic feedback to the end of bow pull.

    Version 1.4.0
    - PapyrusVR dependency removed, SkyrimVRTools dependency added.

    Version 1.3.2
    - Using a staff was causing a CTD. Fixed it by disabling haptic feedback for staffs.

    Version 1.3.1
    - Ignore spells feature is added. You can add spells under [ignoredspells] in config file and give them a value of 0 to disable or 1 to get only 1 loop of feedback for that spell.

    Version 1.3.0
    - Spells now have distinct vibration patterns. Thanks to Cangar for creating the matlab scripts to get the frequencies!
    - Bows now have increasing vibration pattern while pulling.
    - Config parameters are changed. You need to overwrite your old config file and reconfigure the one that comes with the mod.

    Version 1.2.0
    - Remade the mod entirely from scratch. It now consists of only an SKSE plugin. DLL plugin name changed! Old versions including esp file, scripts and plugin dll should be deleted first.
    - VR Body is now supported. All other compatibility issues should be resolved.
    - Left handed mode is supported with a simple configuration file change.

Does anyone know if the haptics also apply for just hitting something with your hand while no weapon is equipped? Asking for a friend...

Love the mod overall! Spellcasting felt so bland without vibrations.

I'm running into one minor issue with VRIK. When I cast spells normally with the triggers, vibration works. But, VRIK also has gesture based spellcasting, e.g. cast when you open and close your hand. When I do that, there's no vibration.

Yeah I'll probably fix that when I get my hands on index controllers.

What about haptic lockpicking? The Switch version of Skyrim has some amazing haptics for lockpicking, and the Switch controllers use the same kind of haptic device as VR controllers. What Switch does is it sends a series of pulses to the controller as you turn the pick, with a an increasing number of them in the rotational range of the pick as the difficulty of the lock increases. There's a pair of more intense pulses book ending the sweet spot for the lock. So you you know you have the right spot when you find those two stronger pulses. The higher the difficulty is over your skill in lock picking, the closer the stronger pulses are to the non-sweet-spot pulses.

Hmmm. Good idea. I was thinking of making a mod for physical lockpicking. Turning your controllers to match the lockpick. Adding haptics to that would be nice.

I was literally looking for a physical lockpicking mod today! It would be amazing if you can find a way to make that work.

Very strange, I've found I've got a CTD bug whenever I try to equip certain weapons. The bug goes away when specifically this haptic mod is disabled.

As far as I can see I've installed it right, using MO2, and I've installed SkyrimVRTools as advised. If this mod was installed incorrectly then surely I'd get the bug straight away upon starting the game and not just after Bleak Falls Barrow. Any ideas?

I thought it wouldn't hurt to try re-downloading the mod in-case the original was corrupt. Bingo, working. How strange! :D Keep up the good work!

When i'm using two handed weapon in left handed mode during combat the right controller vibrates not left, also bow haptic feedback doesn't work at all. (regardless of the settings).

    I have skyrimvrtools btw.

Enhanced bow haptics requires you to have haptics enabled in your settings. It detects them and amplifies them with additional vibrations.

I'll look into the two handed weapon haptics and have a fix ready asap.

Oh, my bad! It works like a dream :D Even the twohanded, two controllers are vibrating now.

      Thank you!

    Shizof, great integration work!

Just not clear on something, is there feedback on melee weapons striking actors? Definitely noticing feedback on attack, but it would be possibly way more useful to get feedback on how big the impact on the enemy actors was. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, there is feedback but it doesn't change depending on the attack(except power-normal). Maybe I can add weapon speed as a multiplier, but I don't know if it would make sense.

I meant feedback based on how much damage done to target.

I can't get this to work. I have put the skyrimvrtools in SkyrimVR\Data\Skse\Plugins. I have installed the mod using MO2. I am also using Composite VR. Any ideas?

I figured out that it is opencomposite that disables the haptics. I have tried getting it to work but no dice. SteamVR works but I have no feedback when using magic.

I was pulling the arrow of a bow when I noticed the string pull. It was so subtle, yet added a ton to the feel of the arrow and pull. I haven`t noticed the haptic from sword fighting yet, but that`s likely because I`m being quite physical to notice! Great job. Endorsed.

    Hello...

I'm just now trying this out. Is there a way to increase the feedback when firing a bow? I see settings for pulling and holding, but not the snap when letting go. There is a small bump now, but I would like to greatly increase that.

    Thanks

Which snap are you referring to exactly? You want feedback the exact time when you let go off the arrow? I can do that.

Yeah, as the bow snaps back to it's relaxed state when I let go of the string. I'm not sure if there would need to be a very slight delay or not after release. It would be cool to have it start at full and very quickly taper down as the bow settles (like a guitar string settles after being plucked, if that makes sense).
I've also noticed that The drawback effect stops before I have fully drawn the bow. This is happening because I draw the string to right behind my right ear, but the bow animation has a limit that is hit before I actually reach the final position. I have no idea if you can add an optional setting to add additional time to the end of the draw to account for this. Obviously it would probably need to be different for people, and some wouldn't need it at all depending on their draw style.

      Thanks

      Got it.
Yeah the drawing comes from the games own feedback effect. So I can only make it like you say, a specific delay at the end of the draw for you. It can be configurable though, so everyone can decide according to their own style.

First let me say you are an amazing person. Thank you so very much. Many people agree with me about this.

Anywho, I was wondering if you could add haptics to match footstep sounds for running?

The hugely popular game “pavlov vr” does this for running and aside from being immersive I believe a lot of people find it helps with motion sickness.

    Much love.
