About this mod

Adds 50 Redguard Alik’r Hoods to Skyrim.

Permissions and credits
Hola,

I grew tired of looking at Rayya, my housecarl, wear a dirty frayed cloth on her head. The result of that frustration is this mod. Now everyone can wear an Alik’r Redguard hood and look fabulous!

==========
Description:
==========

This mod adds 50 Redguard Alik’r Hoods. You can purchase them from a Redguard named Shelniah located in Kynareth Temple in Whiterun.

Shelniah only carries 1 copy of each hood to sell. If you want another copy, you have to wait 48 game hours for her inventory to refresh. I did this to make it easier for you to quickly acquire one of every hood by pressing the buy button. I expect that would be the first thing everyone will do in order to test which hoods they like.

Instructions:
==========

There are 3 variants of hoods included in this mod:

::Vanilla Replacer::
The frayed ends on the two hoods used by NPC Redguards now have clean looking skinny hems.

::Lore Friendly Hoods::
Adds 8 colored hoods made from existing Skyrim clothing textures. These were the first few hoods I made in an effort to maintain immersion. They are made with a fat hem. I have renamed these to “Alik’r Hood [description]” in the game to distinguish them from the wilder Fashion hoods.

::Fashion Hoods::
Adds another 40 hoods to the game. I made these after deciding immersion was overrated. The fabric selections range from traditional (e.g. polka dots) to modern (e.g. random geometries). I named these “Redguard Hood [description]” in the game to distinguish them from Lore Friendly Hoods.

Simple NPC Outfit Manager

As the name implies, it’s an easy to use dialog-driven method of replacing (or removing) an NPC outfit. This is the mod that I used it to alter the outfits of named NPCs in the screenshots.

Notes:
==========

This mod will not work with Oldrim.

All the textures are 1024 pixels (1K). This is double the vanilla, which was 512 pixels.

If you have never used the Alik’r hood, you should know that the neck portion tends to clip when combined with various armor and clothing. You’ll have to test yourself to figure out what works and what doesn’t. That's why some screenshots have topless men as I didn't have clothing on hand that didn't clip.

The fabric patterns of the Fashion Hoods come from free photos, fabric and upholstery samples and even some of my own clothing. I don’t want to give the false impression that I made them from scratch.

If you find problems or if I've done anything incorrectly, please let me know. I'm still new to re-texturing.
