Nice job. Exactly what i seek from a player home mod, adding important functionality while not adding unnecessary stuffs, simple but effective. Those trapdoors are just a nice touch, you can pretend it's not there, but whenever you feel like it, it's there for you to use.
My only gripe about this is the hanging piece of red cloth in the middle of doorway leading to bathroom, it's kinda immersion breaking since you can walk through it (you can just walk a bit to the right/left to avoid it, but not the npc), if there is a simple way to hide it or something, that would be perfect
Don't think you can disable them via the console since they have enable parent references. You'll have to look up their ref ids in-game using More Informative Console, then remove them in xEdit. Or you could use a mod like Jaxonz Positioner to just move them out of view in-game if you prefer to do it that way.
I've recently started a new game because I really wanted a fresh game for the house. I ran into some clutters though that I am not sure how to deal with. There was a floating platter of candles behind the 2nd chair by the fireplace and a floating barrel under the stairs that's kinda blocking the ladder going to the basement. I am worried I mess up and delete other things by doing disable. I was wondering if anyone has any advice. I have gone back to a save of my new game before I bought the house. I don't want to touch it for now. I've also deleted all my old gameplays just to make sure. I really want to try out this breezehome.
Thanks in advance.
NOTE: I didn't do alternate start and purchased the upgrades all together before entering the house.
You have a mod conflict. Those candles and the barrel are from vanilla Breezehome. Install More Informative Console and find out which mod in restoring them. Or open up your load order in xEdit and check for conflicts with my mod.
Hello again So i used More Informative Console on the items and they're apparently from: Barrel is from the ciderhouse mod, >..< i would really like to play that mod too,
and the candles on plate, it's apparently from my lighting mod,
I am not very confident with xEdit though :( and I tried to disable the candle thingies and they persisted :_:
I first used goatk's version in 2019, and now that you've reworked it ... it looks amazing and better than ever. So many of the other Breezehome mods are just a cluttered mess of unusable stuff for decoration sake. I spent literally hours searching for the right one without all the fluff. It's just right ... TY, you do awesome work that fits in with the rest of the game.
This is a known issue with the original mod and other Breezehome mods with towers too. Try opening the console, clicking on the cow, and typing recycleactor.
Whenever I enter Breezehome, I keep getting the armor that the mannequins near my bed returned to me. When I try to put the armor back on, I'm either able to only put certain parts on, like gauntlets, but not the chestpiece, or not at all.
I literally have no idea why this keeps happening to me.
Moving my mod's esp below Embers XD's should get rid of the fire on the carpet.
But if you want a dedicated patch, you'll have to ask the author of Embers XD. He has patches for other Breezehome mods. Either he isn't aware of my mod or he doesn't think its popular enough/necessary to create a patch.
Hi, just purchased Breezehome and all the decorations with this mod and there's like double the amount of everything. There's fireplaces that's within cabinets and shelves within other shelves. Also there's another door behind every door. Is this a known conflict with something? I'm using Wildlander mod setup btw, thanks!
Its not a conflict I know of. I'm not familiar with that modlist so I don't know what's causing this. Sometimes moving house mods below mods that affect that location can fix these issues. But that modlist was put together by someone else so I can't tell you where my mod should go.
Like I told the last few users who had mod conflicts/incorrect load orders, More Informative Console and xEdit should help you figure out what's causing the issue. Shouldn't be too hard. Just go through the comments on this page.
im using the wildlander modlist off of wabbajack and it includes this mod. i purchased the house and all of the upgrades but there is a wall covering the door to the smithing/enchantin/alch room. theres no collision so i can walk through it but was wondering what could be causing that issue.
I suspected Wabbajack was involved, but I wasn't aware my mod was in this particular modlist until you mentioned it. I'm not familiar with these WJ modlists, but the usual options like More Informative Console and xEdit should help you figure out what's causing the issue.
Use MIF to check which mod is restoring the wall. If the wall's selectable in the console, check if the 'disable' command works on it. Alternatively, open your modlist in xEdit and check for conflicts.

Same thing with ELFX. Its even mentioned in ELFX's installer when you go to select the No Breezehome patch.
I have this mod at the bottom of my load order but the lights are still buggy, it's a shame because this is easily my favourite Breezehome makeover
But if you want LUX's changes to apply to my mod, then the author of LUX will have to make a patch for it.

No ENB screenshots taken at midnight:

Even the mod images especially the older ones taken with Rudy ENB don't really show any spots that require you to walk at home with a torch.
