Have you ever failed to find a quest target because you play with quest markers disabled
and Skyrim simply wasn't made with this playstyle in mind?

Do you never use Clairvoyance because it's utterly unreliable?

This mod attempts to offer a solution to both problems. Clairvoyance no longer conjures magic mist that may or may not lead you anywhere. Instead it reveals quest markers on the map, compass and above people and objects related to active quests. Obviously this makes sense only if you play with quest markers disabled. Additionally this mod increases experience gained by casting Clairvoyance by 500%. Despite this Clairvoyance remains an unattractive spell for leveling up.

Now you may ask, why would I want to bring back quest markers if I dislike them so much that I disabled them in the first place? Well, Skyrim is a computer game and some level of abstraction is necessary. I dislike quest markers because they're intrusive and make no sense. Why would my character magically know where exactly his/her target is? Clairvoyance however is literal magic that makes the character intuitively know where the current target is. Quest markers are the level of abstraction that makes this information, that the character possesses, available to the player.

Requirements

SKSE

The following two lines in the [Gameplay] section of SkyrimPrefs.ini. They disable quest markers on the map, compass and above people and objects related to active quests
bShowFloatingQuestMarkers=0
bShowQuestMarkers=0

Compatibility

Incompatible with mods that override the ini tweak.
Incompatible with mods that edit Clairvoyance.
Compatible with everything else.

Fully integrated with Immersive HUD - iHUD. If you cast Clairvoyance, when the compass is hidden, the compass will become visible for the duration of the spell.

Workarounds for known incompatible mods:
Sensible Hardcore Compass - Install a version that doesn't disable quest markers. Quest markers must be disabled by the ini tweak.
Less Intrusive HUD II - Leave quest markers enabled in the MCM. Quest markers must be disabled by the ini tweak.
SkyHUD - Leave quest markers enabled in skyhud.txt. Quest markers must be disabled by the ini tweak.

Recommended Mods

Even Better Quest Objectives - Enhances the quest descriptions in the vanilla game. Because you don't want to use Clairvoyance for every single quest.
Quest Markers Restored - Adds quest markers to quests that were previously missing them.
