Awesome mod! Although as I was looking around the main room, suddenly a sabrecat appeared by the entrance. It didn't immediately attack, but it was in that defensive mode where if you back off it'll leave you alone (I have SkyTEST installed). So I had to unfortunately kill it since he was standing in the foyer.

After I woke up the first night, I heard something in the attic, and an aggressive bear came barrelling down the stairs.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Not to my knowledge. No one else has ever commented on that and that never happened to me when I installed the lighthouse to test it. I don't use SkyTEST but I know what it does. I would remove SkyTEST from your load order and go back to the lighthouse and see what happens. Best way to find out if that mod is adding any creatures to that area that could be occupying the same space as the Home. It is strange tho for sure. Keep me up to date on any progress and I can adjust the description to reflect any weird incompatibilities that may arise. Thanks for letting me know about those encounters

That's really too bad. I bet that place would be sweet in VR for sure. I do not have any experience in VR stuff at all. Someone would have to make a patch for it. Maybe throw it out there to someone and I can upload here as an optional file. Thanks for reporting tho.

This looks great! However, when I enter the lighthouse there are a bunch of floating red and white exclamation marks everywhere. Everything is there and seems to work fine I just can't get them to go away. Any suggestions?

The floating red and white exclamations are missing meshes and textures. You can install the meshes and textures yourself if you continue to have issues. I would try to uninstall and then reinstall the mod again to see if it repeats. If it does then install the files yourself manually. That usually does the trick. I use NMM to install my mods so I rarely have issues. Keep me updated on any progress

I'm a little late to the party. Thank you so much for your work, my attempts to do the same were imperfect, but you made my day. Every time my characters enter the lighthouse its with a vengeful heart. Its a dreadfully sad story and as zixi said, this mod brings closure. Good job!

Your welcome. Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it. I am glad this port worked out all around. Jokerine makes really good mods and the backstory for this is excellent but yes, very sad indeed. I plan on installing this after completing the main quest myself. Good luck with your travels and enjoy the lighthouse.

It always struck me as a very sad storyline. I remember leaving it and feeling very sorry for what had happened - a sense of arriving too late. I think that Jokerine has allowed some kind of closure.

It's always nice when mods fit in with the existing stories.

I agree. I definitely feel that when Jokerine makes a mod that is pretty close to her background and such that she puts much more energy into it and those become the best ones in my opinion. I have ported over many of her mods and this one kind of clicked with me after reading the background of the mod. Very touching for sure. I hope you enjoy the home.

This makes a truly beautiful player home and fits in well with the final sentiments of the storyline. The views are fantastic! I'm using Inns and Taverns as well (another wonderful mod) and that means the Icy Mammoth has become my 'local'. Many thanks to all concerned for bringing us this wonderful addition; it's well worth having.

Your welcome. I hope you enjoy it as much as Jokerine wanted. It was one of her favorites.

So is it safe to add this before you discover the lighthouse? I'm just a bit confused, sorry.

Yes it is. That’s how I was able to test the mod to make sure it works. It’s up to you if you want to install it before or after you do the quest there but it’s not required.

What I need to do is leave it installed but unchecked untill I finish the main quest. It kind of works as a reward for completing the quest that way. Leaving it checked on a new game you never get the quest, no dead bodies and no access to the basement and the Falmer.

I feel the same way. I wont install it until I do the quest and kill all the baddies and get the quest rewards. Its a good way to look at it really. Great idea. I hope you enjoy the Lighthouse. Its a really cool player home to be honest and Jokerine spent a bit of time on it. It was one of her favorite ones that she made according to her posts from the Oldrim page. Good luck.

Looks good but shouldn't a lighthouse be on the shore?

Not always but usually but they also need to be higher up ground so ships can see them better. Bethesda did put it there for some reason. Think it was more of a story driven idea to be honest
