Description:

"So after getting drunk all night in the tavern in Riften, this Brynjolf fellow comes and offers me some falmerblood elixir, at the bargain price of only 30 septims each!
Naturally I spent all the money I've made in the last two months back at the mine, and bought 10 of those, now I'm the strongest Nord in Skyrim! not to mention I grew back that missing limb.

Ah... but now my weapons break like twigs whenever I swing them, so I had to make myself some new ones, bigger and badder than any other (although the materials aren't quite great, had to smelt my pa's old wood-axe when I ran out of horseshoes), and they're really heavy too, but since I'm super strong now (or super drunk), I can't even feel the weight."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Basically, a weapons pack, containing 8 weapons, and as the name implies ( I've borrowed some DarkSouls terminology here), these weapons are either very long, very big, very heavy and with unwieldy proportions, basically nothing a normal person could realistically wield, but hey, if those potatoheads from Oblivion can swing around a "warhammer" the size of a small child, so can you!

Are they lore-friendly?
- Well, there's no dwarven quantum space-cannons in the mod, so suuuuure it is.

Are they realistic?
- Depends on how much you bench-press.

Here's a little video showcase I've made:

The Weapons:

In no particular order, these are:

Ultra Iron Sword - 1958 Tris/Faces
Ultra Iron Axe - 3038 Tris/Faces
Ultra Iron Mace - 2490 Tris/Faces

Ultra Steel Sword - 7186 Tris/Faces
Ultra Steel Axe - 7026 Tris/Faces
Ultra Steel Mace - 7676 Tris/Faces

+ 2 "Bonus" Weapons:

Ultra Iron Pickaxe - 2118 Tris/Faces
Akaviri Ultra Saber - 4746 Tris/Faces

The weapons themselves have a certain 'theme' to them, Iron weapons are scratched, rusty & abused beyond all reason, while the steel ones have certain patterns and decorations about them while still looking like they've seen regular use. (Also, unfortunately, the Ultra Pickaxe can't be used to mine anything other than people's heads)

Generally Speaking, the weapons have the DPS of one tier above their material grade, so for example, the "Ultra Iron Sword" does damage comparable to a "Steel Greatsword", and a "Ultra Steel Sword" to that of a "Dwarven Greatsword" and so on (although the numbers are not exact).

There are a few more things to consider however:

Pros&Cons:

+ Higher damage
- Slower attack speed
+ Longer reach
- Extremely heavy
+ Higher stagger-chance

How to obtain them:

At any forge, provided you have the necessary materials & perks, you can of course temper & enchant them as well. I've kept the types of materials required low, but the amount needed high.

Compatibility & Other issues:

Since the mod doesn't change anything, but only adds the weapons to your game, it should be perfectly compatible with pretty much any other mod or combination of mods out there. You can put this anywhere in your load order and it should work without issues. The crafting recipes are based on vanilla Skyrim examples, so it theoretically should work well with any perk overhaul mod out there that changes Smithing.

There is a bit of an issue with some of them in regards to clipping, since the bloody things are so big/long/bulky that they might sometimes scrape the ground or stab you in the butt or something. Nothing major though, hopefully.

Q&A and other info:

By default the mod comes with 2k textures, there's an 4k option for those with the PC that can handle that. Also I've provided the "unoptimized" nifs for anybody that would like to play around with them or attempt to port this mod over to the Classic edition. I've also added a 1K option for more modest setups, and an ESPL version if you're pushing your load limit.

Will you port this to LE/Consoles?
-I don't own any consoles, and I don't have the classic version installed anymore, so no... But if anybody wants to port them, feel free to do so.

(Note for anybody attempting to port this to the Classic version: you can't just re-save the .esp in the old CK, it's very likely to cause issues & crashes later down the road, you'll probably have to re-build the mod from scratch, I'm afraid).

Will you be adding weapons for the other material types/ When will that be?
- Weapons for the other types won't be coming any time soon, if at all, and I probably won't add anymore weapons to the Iron & steel categories. It's not impossible that I might come back to this, but don't count on it.

Will you be adding this to the leveled lists / shops?
-Initially I considered that, but in the end, it didn't make much sense to me that any common thug could be swinging around these weapons. But more importantly, adding these to the leveled lists means you'll probably have to create a patch to sort those lists out, so I don't think it's worth the trouble for otherwise such a small mod.
