Before writing about the problems, check whether you have installed fixes for iNeed to your modifications.

Please read them before asking the same repetitive questions!

Use program: Load Order Optimization Tool ---> LOOT <---
or Wrye Bash or Mod Organizer 2, for greater compatibility of your modifications.

D0 NOT Ignore Warning in game: -> " The iNeed is set, do not open the MCM menu! ", when you first install the mod iNeed !!!
Scenarios should correctly integrate into your save, wait 25 ~ 30 seconds and if you have a lot of mods in the game, then 2 ~ 3 minutes!

The most important and informative messages are now fixed.
    A vivid example up Spoiler:

If you have installed the modification CACO - follow the link and install a fix to it and everything will work fine for you!
"Be a Milk Drinker - iNeed CACO-Frostfall Patches name --> iNeed - CACO Patch WIP ---> distributes products (soups) in mod CACO into categories - light, medium and heavy food! Patch CACO - iNeed DD Patch support module Dangerous Diseases on this page is very outdated and does not perform its functions, download it from section Update Files ---> name  CACO - iNeed - Dangerous Diseases - Patch 2.0 - Eng

    IMPORTANT!!!
The order of loading mods is as follows:
    *iNeed
*iNeed - Extended  ( Important! select option Extended - No Food - No Recipes when installing!!! )
    *iNeed - Dangerous Diseases
    *Complete Alchemy & Cooking Overhaul
*iNeed CACO Patch   <--- name Ineed - CACO Patch WIP from page Be a Milk Drinker - iNeed CACO Patch - it defines CACO soups as food !
    *CACO - iNeed DD Patch*

I fixed it fix -> CACO - iNeed DD Patch. Now you can get this fix file from section UPDATE FILES.
The original module CACO - iNeed DD Patch.esp contains a bug (and out of order of the master files), so recommend using the fix I made.

    a) Recommended that you disable iNeed's option ( in MCM ) to alter the weight of food, as this can conflict with the changes made by CACO.
    b) If you play using mod iNeed and mod CACO, when installing mod iNeed, select option Extended - No Food - No Recipes, otherwise there will be conflicts in the cooking menu, since both mods use the same recipes, but in one case with Water ( CACO ), in the other ( iNeed ) - Waterskins!

Q: i use skytest, caco, hunterborn, what is the boot order?
    Answer:

    iNeed
iNeed - Extended    <-- without changing food recipes  /// ( install iNeed Extended it is not required! )
    Skytes
    Hunterborn
    Complete Alchemy & Cooking Overhaul
ALL PATCH  <---- here in the same sequence all the fixes for the mod !

(of course, all mods must be present for compatibility!) and there will be no problems!

iNeed Extended  | Help: installation options |

    ->Full
This option is not compatible with other mods that modify vanilla food and recipes.
-- Removes magic effect buffs and debuffs from most food and drink items.
+ Enables snow collection from medium to large exterior snow drifts simply by activating them.
-- Removes the Salt Pile ingredient from cooked meat.
+ Re-balances soup recipes by adding a water ingredient requirement and by changing the number of soups produced from 1 to 2. Innkeepers will now sometimes sell soups and Hearthfire foods.

    ->None
iNeed - Extended will not be installed.

Q: i use old version iNeed mod, what are the restrictions?
A: When using version 1.90 - 1.93 iNeed it will be enough to load module "iNeed - Dangerous Diseases" after "CACO" to fix compatibility due to "Potion of Cure Sanguinare Vampiris".
"kryptopyr's Patch Hub" ---> this fix is only needed for versions 1.90 - 1.92 ! ---> iNeed __ CACO adds the correct option to get the Waterskin in CACO and food degradation in iNeed.

A new compatibility patch with an addition Beyond Skyrim - Bruma SE
    1) iNeed - Extended - Bruma module with the addition of food and drinks and the ability to collect snow from snowdrifts, at the tavern they will fill your waterskin. You can download from here -> iNeed - Extended - Bruma.zip  (ESL format file .esp)
    2) Dangerous Diseases module for Bruma, now priests heal and alchemists sell healing potions ( from module iNeed - Dangerous Diseases ) !
You can download from here -> iNeed - Dangerous Diseases - Bruma_ver193.zip

You installed mod Realistic Water Two SE and can't get some water in your waterskin?!
Install the compatibility patch - now I made it myself, download the actual patch in the UPDATE FILES section!
Attention! These fixes are not required for mod iNeed version 1.93 (PExt)*** or 1.94 and above!
Or if you failed to install powerofthree's Papyrus Extender

*** iNeed version 1.93 (PExt) - requires the installation of extension powerofthree's Papyrus Extender for its work, but there is no need to put numerous patches on installed mods with changing reservoirs, rivers, waterfalls, etc.

IMPORTANT !!! For the stable operation of the mod, it is strongly recommended to DISABLE autosave functions of the game, especially when the character changes the location!

=>There was a problem: you Character teleports after picking waterskins to the place where he started entering the location.
Do not ignore the warning " The iNeed is set, do not open the MCM menu! ", when you first install the mod iNeed !!!
Scenarios should correctly integrate into your save, wait 25 ~ 30 seconds and if you have a lot of mods in the game, then 2 ~ 3 minutes!
Instruction from alakohope how to fix this problem:
    1. Go to the iNeed MCM menu and disable the iNeed (AFTER it is properly installed and initiated ofcourse).
    2. Drop the waterskin you get (and any other waterskins you have additionally crafted/looted) from your inventory.
    3. Turn on the console, click on the waterskin(s) and type "disable", Enter.
    4. Play the game as you normally would for a good while.
    5. Save the game and quit.
    6. Disable iNeed from your Vortex/Mod Manager 2.
    7. Load the game. Ignore warning that iNeed is missing. Play the game for a while.
    8. Save the game and quit.
    9. Enable the iNeed from your Vortex/Mod Manager 2.
    10. Load the game again. Let iNeed start up properly.
    11. DON'T open the MCM menu until you finally get a message " 1 [...] has been added to your MCM configuration " !
    12. Drop the free waterskin you just got and disable it via console.
    13. Go to the tanning rack and make a new one.
    14. Drink water!

=>There was a problem: causes CTD upon opening Inventory or when you save the game.

Motizie: My inventory opens, I can move everything. But I can't open any chests or anything else in the game it crashes.
I couldn't find anyone with this specific problem. i solved using loot

I looked at some old threads and found multiple mentions of:

    • Load an older save ( as long as it doesn't have CTD on save glitch )
    • Create a NEW save ( through pause menu )
    • Type in console: player.kill
    • Load your latest save ( the one that had CTD glitch )
    • Type in console: player.kill
    • Try saving ( I usually just use quicksave )

    1) Instruction from syuki577 how to fix this problem:
    Watch out for priority issues
    Plug-in "iNeed.esp" ---> Plug-in "iNeed - Extended.esp"
    <NO CTD>

    Plug-in "iNeed - Extended.esp" --->Plug-in "iNeed.esp"
    <CTD!>

So, follow only this loading order:
    iNeed.esp
    iNeed - Extended.esp

    2) Another problem causing the game to crash is items from previously removed mods in the character's inventory. You deleted the mod, but the items remain! Although invisible. It is necessary to clear the inventory before installing iNeed, since you decided to install it not at the beginning of your character's life.
There is one more important point: if you install some kind of mod and then delete it, some things in the inventory remaining from this mod can cause an ERROR when opening the inventory, leading to СTD! Therefore, after removing the modifications, it is advisable to clean your character’s inventory by putting all the valuable and expensive things in any container in the interior and enter the command in the console:
    player.removeallitems
(necessary to remove items left in inventory from remote mods that (possibly!) cause CTD games)**, save the game, exit, restart the game, load last save and saved again, exit ((if you are experienced, clear the save from unnecessary scripts with FallrimTools - Script cleaner )), connect (in our case the iNeed) re-installable or new mod, start game, load the last save, wait 5 minutes and saved game. Go ahed!
**You must do the same before installing iNeed, if you connect this mod much later than the start of your game.

If you do not have such a save, then deactivate mod iNeed in the MCM, make a save, exit game, and download again load a save, put all the items you need in the container and enter the command in the console:
    player.removeallitems
and make a save, exit the game, restart the game, go to in the "mod settings" menu and set in MCM activate a mod iNeed, load the last save, play.

    3) Instruction from swagmaster1969 how to fix this problem:
For anyone crashing-on-save, I disabled iNeed through the MCM, waited a couple minutes, saved, reenabled.

    4) try this remedy: Save Cleaner - CTD Fix and Cell Reset

    =>Termination of settings MCM menu.
Instruction from phasmaphobic how to fix this problem:
iNeed loaded up for me once - and only once. I was able to get to the MCM menu and adjust some minor settings, and now I am no longer able to get to that Menu. I've tried reloading, deleting and resintalling, and more. Nothing seems to work. The iNeeds option appears in MCM, but when I click it never loads the sub menus.
I managed to fix it with a console forced reload of the MCM using this command:
    setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1

=>Can't get some water in your waterskin?
You installed mod Realistic Water Two? Install the fix for iNeed ( ver. 1.91 - 1.93 ) ---> Realistic Water Two - Updated Needs Patch
( Please! Read the description for them to understand which one suits you best! )
Attention! These fixes are not required for mod iNeed version 1.93 (PExt)*** or 1.94 and above!
Be sure to install one of the fixes, this will help you avoid situations with teleportation of your character in the game to the place of entry to the location when collecting water from sources (river, lake) into the waterskin.
*** iNeed version 1.93 (PExt) - requires the installation of extension powerofthree's Papyrus Extender for its work, but there is no need to put numerous patches on installed mods with changing reservoirs, rivers, waterfalls, etc.

=>Problems arise when using the "character sit down" animation.
This is a long standing problem and is known, do not use this feature or use it in first person only ...

=>Problems with "eat" and "drink" keyboard shortcuts:
    namelol23 wrytes:
16 May 2022, 5:10AM if anyone has any hotkey problem with eating go in advance setting and make sure you uncheck cannibalism.

=>My followers don't eat the food I give them / or complain that there is no food even though I gave them enough gold.
-> If your followers are ignoring eating food, you need to take this food into inventory, turn on the "Classify" mode in menu MCM mod iNeed, classify it, turn off the "Classify" mode, save the game. After that, your followers MUST eat what mod iNeed has already recognized!
-> Perhaps you have enabled the "Cannibalism" option in the mod iNeed settings, if your character is not a cannibal - disable it and the food consumption of the followers will be normalized.
-> Before dismissing your Follower (or one of them), turn off the "Followers ask for food" function, otherwise the dismissed NPC will constantly remind you that he has no food/water/gold in his inventory, no longer being your character's Follower. You can re-enable this feature after the person who has been fired leaves the team.

=>For some reason hunger is not replenished by eating (Survival mode!)
    Zachlon 06 June 2022, 4:20AM
I solved exact that Problem in the following way:

    1) Menu --> Settings --> Gameplay --> Deactivate the in-Game Survival Mode.
    2) Wait a few seconds.
    3) Optional: deactivate iNeed Mod and consume food until Hunger is gone. After that follow step 1 and 2.

=>After installation, there is no menu MСM mod iNeed
    1) enter the command in the console:
    setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1

    2) if for some reason the first method does not suit you, install the mod Jaxonz MCM Kicker SE

    3) Any mod that uses a script can fail, there is a third way to get the MCM menu back, but it requires certain skills. Perhaps he will help you. Details use FallrimTools - Script cleaner under the spoiler.
    Spoiler:
    Show

Attention! This method is suitable for those who understand what he is doing. Those who want to wait for the final fix are better off just waiting!
For this to work, you need to re-run the menu script (because the menu script didn't work properly for some reason!).
In order to restore the MCM menu and it did not affect the passage of the already started game, you must perform additional steps:
    1) Save your character indoors or in a location.
    2) Stop the execution of the MCM menu show reverse script by doing it in the created save with program Fallrim Tools: you need to terminate script _snskyuiconfig in your save game using program Fallrim Tools ( i am using version 4.3.2 ), for this load your save game, open section Active Scripts section, Delete scripts _snskyuiconfig, go to File for Save result and make another backup of save file.

    3) Load the corrected save and wait for the new MCM menu registration message to appear (don't do anything BEFORE that! Just wait.).
Everything, you can, after the registration message, wait 2 - 3 minutes and open the MCM menu, go to the iNeed section and activate the mod in it and customize the mod iNeed.

Also, this method of clearing script ( _snskyuiconfig ) helps if you used a very very old version of iNeed mod in your walkthrough and decided to install the latest version of the mod.

=> For some reason in my game the auto drink feature doesnt work. My character doesnt drink things in my inventory (that I have) and a message shows up saying that I dont have consumables anymore (but I do have!!) Any ideas why this is happening?

If for some reason (crash, glitch, installation of a other mod that changes drinks) the mod cannot recognize drinks as drinks - go to MCM menu for iNeed mod and manually classify all your drinks in inventory, indicating that they are water, wine, etc.
After classifying all the required drinks, turn off the "Categorize" mode and save the game, otherwise the changes will not be applied.
The picture under the spoiler will show you the path to this utility, if you could not find it yourself, read the description in HINTS when you hover over Categorize with the mouse:

Question: I made the waterskin on my belt visible, but now I can’t remove it
Answer: There is a solution to this vanilla game problem - enter in the console command: player.unequipall

If you are using Survival Mode:
    Spoiler:
    Show

Do not play with the iNeed mod in Survival mode!
iNeed, Wet and Cold and Frostfall mods were once created to bring elements of survival into the vanilla game, then Skyrim Anniversary Edition was created and in it the Survival mode, which now uses other, modified scenarios, but to the same functions "thirst", "hunger", "rest", etc. We will consider these mods incompatible. No one will create compatibility patches, these mods essentially overlap in 90% of the features.
But if after reading this text you still decide to use these mods together, maybe advice from Zachlon will help you. Now you can only help yourself)

If I'm reading the notes in the Description correctly... there's no longer a need for any of the available patches between CACO and iNeed 1.93?  Just shut off any value alteration within iNeed (weight, etc) completely, as quoted: "It is also recommended that you disable iNeed's option to alter the weight of food, as this can conflict with the changes made by CACO and result in some odd weight values"?

On a related note, between iNeed, CACO, and Frostfall, I've only found one patch that addresses all three - but it seems to also require Be a Milk Drinker, as seen in the patch requirements.  I suppose I'm a little confused about all the patches running around by this point, and unfortunately I'm not quite skilled enough with xEdit to sort them all out.  I suppose I'm asking which ones still apply to the latest versions.

For reference, of the mods mentioned in the various patches and places, I'm using the latest versions of these (currently in this overwrite order, in MO2):

Campfire & Frostfall (with the Campfire and Frostfall - Unofficial SSE Update)
iNeed - Food Water and Sleep - Continued (this mod right here)
Hunterborn SE (with the Hunterborn SE MCM right below it)
    Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul
iNeed Universal Water Patch? (needed for Realistic Water Two SE)

I also have kryptopyr's Automated Patches, but from what I'm reading here, I don't need the one included for making iNeed and CACO play nice?

hello, sharplittleclaws!  I already answered here (answers below) about fixes for version 1.93 iNeed - Continued, everything that you listed is not required, or does not affect the work of this version.
      1) To work correctly when filling with water waterskins in some places changed by modification Realistic Water Two and some others needs -> Realistic Water Two - Updated Needs Patch -> in version 1.93 (PExt) and version 1.94 this fix not need!
! update 02 Dec 2022 -> Some players still can't handle install powerofthree's Papyrus Extender, so I made a patch for RWT, you can find it in Downloads Updates section!
      2) As for modifications  Campfire & Frostfall and Hunterborn SE improved scripting support is built into iNeed, but the listed additions still require fixes for iNeed mod.
Hier more info -> Hunterborn MCM Soups and Stews - iNeed Patch Detection Fix
! update 16 Jan 2024 Patch supplied with Hunterborn SE mod not suitable for the new version iNeed 1.94, very outdated and no longer required! Do not install this Hunterborn - iNeed Patch to ver. 1.94 iNeed mod, otherwise you will break the operation of mod iNeed.
      3) kryptopyr's Automated Patches and Kryptopyr's Patch Hub: iNeed __ CACO ended with version mod iNeed - Continued 1.93, as this is now built into the scripts of mod iNeed and the connection in your mod CACO game is automatically recognized.
Also - installing this patch will break the script for Namira's ring! and other things!
As for the recommendation not to change such options as weight and cost of food when installing mod Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul - they still have a place, follow them.

If you have addons Beyond Skyrim - Bruma SE - a new compatibility patch with an this addition under spoiler
      Spoiler:
      Show

A new compatibility patch with an addition Beyond Skyrim - Bruma SE
      1) iNeed - Extended - Bruma module with the addition of food and drinks and the ability to collect snow from snowdrifts. At the tavern they will fill your waterskin.

P.S. I myself created these files using SSEEdit, so I guarantee their full compatibility and performance.

and mod`s Falsakar, a Milk Drinker and more other mod (adding food and drinks) for correct work mod iNeed - Continue with these modules are of course necessary corresponding fix. As for the rest, I can’t say anything, I have never played with these modifications.
For correct load order of all mods and their fixes, use Load Order Optimisation Tool ---> LOOT <---
The same if you have already used in your current save early versions iNeed, or fix iNeed__CACO, follow instructions under the spoiler ->
      Spoiler:
      Show

The fix iNeed__CACO contains a script (modification to one of iNeed's scripts _snplayeralias ) that fixes iNeed is already built into version 1.93, but there are other changes in scripts _snplayeralias and it regarding cannibalism and Namira's ring and more!!!
But the problem may be that you have already played with this save using version 1.92, 1.91 or 1.90Alpfa (a save may contain an old cooking script, it can be removed from the save by the Fallrim Tools).

I just started this mod with a new game. How do you get water. I crafted a water skin and only get salt water (was in dawnstar). I can also buy water barrels from the store. Is there an easier way to collect water?

Water is drawn into an empty waterskin.
Pond or River Set: Your character enters knee-deep water and you use:
      1) “Drink/Draw water” shortcut key assigned in MCM menu iNeed mod (it draws water with an animation of drawing water)
      2) Activate an empty waterskin in the character’s inventory with the mouse, water is drawn into the empty waterskin.

Water can be obtained from collected snow, from a bucket placed in the Rain, from a large barrel and from a small barrel (you buy from merchants: Belethor, Khajiit, others), from a well (example: Whiterun - the bucket stands on the edge of the well)

Salt water is collected ONLY from the Sea. From salty you get (using a pot for cooking food) salt.

I hope you installed powerofthree's Papyrus Extender (and all other components necessary for its operation: SKSE64 and Address Library for SKSE Plugins  and Visual C++ Redistributables (2015/2017/2019) ) to correct any water changed in the game by many mods?
Do iNeed mod MCM menu tips help you?
Do you use the built-in training system for using iNeed mod, which is built into the mod itself?
Have you read the Description or Overview of iNeed mod and how to use it?
Or do you prefer to learn about a mod's work by asking questions in a mod discussion?

Thanks for the response! Yes to both questions. In the beginning it only showed two icons, but I went and changed it to Color Based and set a key for toggle. When I went back to the game they were all there. I should also mention I've had some trouble with sleeping filling up the need again as well. And it takes forever and a million key presses to get it to drink, fill up water skins or eat, when it is willing to.

Also, I'm not using CACO. I have used Loot. I am not using Survival. This is my only needs mods/cooking/eating besides Hunterborn and Campfire and they have always played nice. I've been playing for hours and I can't get the game to let me eat the food in my pack. It's not modded food, just vanilla. I've tried remapping the hotkey buttons, disabling and reenabling, starting a new game 3 times, dropping everything and picking up food again, eating it out of the backpack to see if it prompts the question of whether it's food or whatever needing to be recognized.

I can't get it to let me drink out of the water. It does let me drink alcohol. It won't let me eat anything, raw or cooked or flesh.

I'd really love some help. This is my #1 most essential mod and my immersion is dying without it.

      1) it’s strange that you had to use the “Categorize” function, usually this is only required for some very rare mods that add their own food. Vanilla food and drinks generally work without problems. Apparently something is interfering with the operation (some kind of mod?).
      2) As for mod Cathedral, I need to see what it is all about. And is a patch needed at all to work with it? I'll write more later.

Thank you for describing in detail all your actions, it helps a lot (and it helps you in the end!) to solve your problem)
This is clearly not a problem with iNeed mod, but incompatibility with some mod.
I would also like to remind you how to use Categorize function correctly (screenshots under the spoiler)

On second thought, I think it might have been that I deselected Cannibalism. I think this mod might function differently than the iNeeds I used all these years in LE. Cannibalism used to let you eat both kinds of food. Now, I think it just lets you eat raw flesh. I'm able to eat more effectively now, but I still have to press the key multiple times and I don't have the benefit of being a cannibal.

As for Cathedral, I am using the Ultra Glacial Flour iNeeds Compatible version. I appreciate anything you can find out SO MUCH. I can't overstate how important iNeeds is to me!

To make things even stranger (God yes, I'm still at it!) I've been having trouble getting Frostfall to work. I think my Papyrus utility got uninstalled. When it was uninstalled, iNeed (set to none on initial set up) was working just fine. Cathedral water replacer was working just fine. iNeed had no trouble getting water. Then, as soon as I reinstalled the Papyrus Utility, iNeed can't see the water at all.

Can you explain this? I have no idea. I just bad want it fixed.

      1) Cannibalism only works for Wood Elves (or if your follower is a Wood Elf). Or use Namira's ring, by completing the corresponding quest in the Game.
      2) I don’t understand how installing Papyrus Utility can affect the operation, this needs to be investigated, this does not happen to me.
      3) Cathedral mod does not affect the collection of water in any way and does not require any patches; if you have powerofthree's Papyrus Extender  installed (and everything that is required for this extension to work!), any water from any mod will be collected in the waterskin.
      4) Problems with the operation of hotkey for typing water may occur if it is duplicated (used) by other mods or you have installed a key that the game itself uses by default.

All I would recommend for now is that without changing the configuration and loading order of your mods, start a new game (create a new character) as a control test save. If you use the Alternative Start mod, then it won’t take much time, but you can make sure that everything works ( or not =) ), perhaps the scripts of the mod iNeed for your current save did not work correctly (a lot has already been written about this here: always! you need to wait for the message about the completion of the implementation of the script and after the warning that you cannot open the settings MCM menu while installing all mods, you need to wait for completion and the corresponding notification from the mod iNeed !!! time 2 - 5 min. )

I know you have to be a Bosmer for Cannibalism. I've played with iNeed for many years. But in LE you could eat regular food along with it, just as Bosmers do. It simply opened up the ability to eat raw meat and flesh. This seems like it might be different, or else it's the issues I'm having.

All I know is that I had a mess on my hands trying to figure out what was wrong. I removed and then reinstalled a bunch of mods to figure out what was crashing my game. Then Frostfall wouldn't work because it couldn't load the .dll. Then I found several mods weren't working. I spent several hours trying to figure out why. Finally, I saw that I had uninstalled Papyrus utility, but I had Extender and Tweaks. When I downloaded Utility, Frostfall worked again and Cathedral was in place. I was able to get water without problems, and eat.

What you said about the Hotkey being set as default by another mod was interesting. The button I use is set as default for another mod and I changed it so I could use the key I've always used. Do you have that written on the FAQs? I didn't  read that. It would be great to add!

Do you have that written on the FAQs? I didn't  read that. It would be great to add!
This is not a local problem with the mod iNeed, anyone who started using the mod in their game should know about hot key match! As well as about the order of loading mods and about using a patch to coordinate the work of various mods in one game.

As for Bosmers or Khajiit (cats should also calmly eat raw human meat?), it seems to me that you are confusing eating raw meat and cannibalism. THESE ARE DIFFERENT THINGS!
Do Bosmers eat human corpses? Seriously? Where did you read this? I need a source for this information.

      1) For everyone who wants to be a cannibal (I'm talking about game characters) there is a path, and at the end of this path is receiving Namira's ring. Before eating a body, you need to remove its clothes. It's all in the mod settings tips!
      2) In the mod MCM  settings there is an option "Raw Food is not harmful", use this to eat raw meat!
Using this feature does not change the fact that eating raw food will sometimes make you sick! But there will be no more poisoning from raw food.

Read the hints at the bottom of the window when you hover over each option in the mod's settings menu.
The mod has built-in tips (MSM menu) and there is a separate section - Training. Did you even see this before asking questions?

I don't think so. Usually you can remap a key and take it out of the default of another mod and it works just fine in the mod you set it to, so I don't think everyone just knows this. Maybe I'm wrong.

Have you played the LE version of iNeeds? It lets you eat 'human' flesh as well as raw meat. You could also eat other food too. It basically just gave you the option of adding human flesh and raw meat to your diet.

Will do. I'm sorry you're so aggravated. I appreciate the help. Can I go on record to say that Isoku's Cannibalism in LE made more sense and suggest it be changed back? If you're a Bosmer, you're going to eat raw meat, flesh and food, and that is what it was designed for. For the source of info you request, you have only to read the Green Pact cannon lore. Pure cannibals could choose to just have flesh, but if you're a Bosmer, you suddenly don't have the option you did before of eating everything a Bosmer eats. I think Isoku's vision was right on.

Popeye12, Do you need Garlic as an ingredient for cooking? Or as an independent product, such as an apple or green onions?
CACO mod also does not change the category of the “Garlic” item - it remains in the “Ingradient” category as it was.

Sry for the late reply. I solved the problem. Yes i need garlic as an ingredient for a cooking recipe (mage meal). I didn´t know that i had transform normal Garlic into Garlic as an ingredient for cooking first. The alchemical ingredient garlic for making potions remains unaffected from this.

PrizrakSKYRIM, I can’t know the list of your mod, perhaps something interferes with the work of the food consumption system of your followers... perhaps a framework for followers. Use program: Load Order Optimization Tool ---> LOOT <---
However, as I wrote above, we recently analyzed this situation and the player found the reason, everything worked for him. Look at another similar problem in Bugs list.

PrizrakSKYRIM, But this is interesting! Did you have this option enabled by default when starting a new game? Or did you use it thinking that your follower could eat humans (or their own kind)? Or was it one of the followers? It is important for me to know this in order to further improve the operation of the mod.

Okay... Big warnings regarding mixing iNeed with the Survival Mode creation...

...Yet, I'm stubborn, so I wonder.

Could I just use this and deactivate the hunger and sleep needs from this mod? I'm looking for a thirst need and to add needs to my followers, feels odd to be the only one needing to eat and sleep. (might as well try, will update if it turns out horrible or what).

I have the suspicion that the script from both mods will just overlap and cause the features to not work at all but... I'm so used to the Survival Mode Scheme... that or find enough mods to mimic the full functionality of Survival Mode plus adding needs and deceases to my followers, can that be done? or am I just asking for too much—.

      1) not all players experience compatibility problems with the “Survival” mode.
      2) In the pinned message there is a description of methods for getting out of such situations.
      3) There are mods for Needs, the authors of which report full compatibility with the “Survival” mode: SunHelm, Realistic Needs and Diseases 2.0).
      4) There have been attempts to create a separate mod for the needs of followers, explore for yourself: Follower Mod

NotATestament, experiment, disable options, customize. iNeed mod in this sense is one of the most customizable systems in the game. Write about the results, many will be interested in what settings helped you play with the "Survival" mode, combining both mods.

If I didn't check notifications, I may never get to write this down, I completely forgot about this comment I made about a week ago.

Turns out... it works! Tried it right after posting that comment (just forgot to answer when I closed the game for the day, silly me)

Didn't have to change that much into the MCM, just set your hunger and sleep needs to 0, sometimes the iNeed hunger and tiredness will reactivate after sleeping but in my experience, they're harmless, the code should recognize itself and vanish the debuffs from those deactivated needs, if not, a quick wiggle inside the MCM should solve it.

As usual (at least, it was the same from the LE iNeed, and no, this has nothing to do with my "mix-match" troubleshooting), followers chug on food and drinks when given, I believe its because they will satiate their needs as soon as they are below optimal, I'd suggest lowering them to 2-3 if they become too bothersome (my current playthrough revolves around avoiding cities  and merchants as much as possible and try to sustain needs via wilderness and outdoor "safehouses", so yeah, food is somewhat scarce given the need for salt, and water is completely absent if you spend half a day inside a dungeon, which is the usual for Skyrim's timescale) , or you could fill their 300 inventory with pounds of food and bags of water (though I think too many food/water items can cause the code to f*ckup and not do anything, I don't blame the authors, can't expect the fragile Skyrim engine to do all the work)

As a closing, yes, my experience may not be the same for everyone given some of you may use other mods, from my end, I have CACO and conner's Survival mode, Conner's mod doesn't seem to change much in regards of food (since that mod only change the environmental effects and raw items like meat or plain veggies/fruits) and custom food from CACO doesn't have a problem either because this mod has a classification system, just eat the custom item yourself and iNeed will ask you what it is and how much does it fill (the item will be returned to your inventory afterwards, although survival mode will still consider this as proper consumption so, yeah, minor exploit there)

      Well, as they say

thanks nodude for the reminder, and for anyone reading this, have a nice day_

And what kind of mod BDS ?
You can remove section Worldspace in module iNeed - Extended using SSEEdit if you only need cooking recipes, but the snow set interferes with your mod.

Yeah, I switched to non-extended version for a while, however vanilla cooking recipes suck :) BDS as in better dynamic snow. Removing worldspace entries worked, cool, thank you!

Hello, thank for your awesome mod.
I'm a bit confused, I'm using this mod with Keep it clean, which option in Water for ENB should I choose? I dont think I saw instructions for my case in the description or posts.
    Have a great day.

great announcement of the new version of Water for ENB, with high quality illustration.
The issue of working with this mod was discussed in your post below.

       Thank you.
And for some reason, LOOT sets CACO main above Ineed Dangerous Desease in my load order (1073 vs 1194). When I tried to get CACO lower than DD, my game crashed at launch. I managed to get to the menu by pulling DD up, but is this an issue?

kexactao At the very beginning of the message Pinned STICKY ( under Spoiler ) above there is everything about the CACO mod and the order of downloading all the patches and additions you listed, I don’t know why LOOT changes the order so strangely, perhaps you haven’t downloaded and installed the patch or something else, please read the detailed description.

I also have your patch "CACO - iNeed DD Patch" installed, no "iNeed CACO Patch" cause to my understanding you said not to use it, it's all the way down where it should be (no. 1137 in load order), so I really dont get why LOOT does that. But I'll try with my method and see. Thank you, have a great day!

kexactao, "CACO - iNeed DD Patch" and "iNeed CACO Patch" - these are different patches, it clearly says in what order to use them and where to get them!
      IMPORTANT!!!
The order of loading mods is as follows:
      *iNeed
*iNeed - Extended  ( Important! select option Extended - No Food - No Recipes when installing!!! )
      *iNeed - Dangerous Diseases
      *Complete Alchemy & Cooking Overhaul
*iNeed CACO Patch   <--- name Ineed - CACO Patch WIP from page Be a Milk Drinker - iNeed CACO Patch - it defines CACO soups as food

    Hello!

I was wondering if there are any other reasons for not being able to collect water from water sources other than not using Papyrus Extender?
Just started a new playthrough and I am not able to collect water from rivers etc. anymore.
On my last run I was able to do that, so I am wondering for any other sources of culprits?

Arimati , Since collecting water works for 99.9% of players, I believe that the main reason was and remains the incorrect installation of iNeed mod and powerofthree's Papyrus Extender. Installed Papyrus Extender must correspond to the version of Skyrim ( LE, SE , AE ) you are using, and all required mods ( SKSE64 and Address Library for SKSE Plugins  and Visual C++ Redistributables (2015/2017/2019) ) must also work with this version. You can verify this by looking at the report files located in the save folder of your game. You can find out more about the reports on the page of these mods.
P.S. There was even one case where a player installed Mod powerofthree's Tweaks thinking it was Mod powerofthree's Papyrus Extender, even though it is just an add-on to fix some bugs in vanilla Skyrim using Mod powerofthree's Papyrus Extender as a tool.
That being said, I'm reading the discussion about mod Papyrus Extender and I see that there are reports that it doesn't work for some players on version Skyrim AE 1.6.1170 or 1.6.1179 GOG, while others write that it works great! Can you explain this phenomenon yourself?)

Version 5.6.2 works fine with SAE 1.6.1170 and SKSE 2.2.6

Thank you for the elaborate answer and helping me out.
      (I am on 1.59.7)

I don't believe the incorrect installation is the culprit in my case, since I do have a very big modlist where also many other mods heavily rely on either, Adress Library, Papyrus Extender, Tweaks or SKSE.

However, I just managed to fix the issue.
Could it be that the 'drawing from water sources' is relying on either:

      • If the water source has the flag 'Causes Damage' ticked?

      • Or the 'PlayerSleepQuest'?

Because the two things I changed in SSEEdit was dragging over the 'Causes Damage' flag to my Water for ENB (Shades of Skyrim).esp and dragging over the entry from iNeed to the 'PlayerSleepQuest' from CACO.

If the water source has the flag 'Causes Damage' ticked?
This is exactly the status that allows you to mark water that can be designated as “dirty water”. The set of water and all patches for mods that change or add rivers, lakes and other water resources are based on its assignment. Tool Papyrus Extender allows you to mark all the water that any mod adds or changes. Most likely Water for ENB mod acts differently, I need time to study its influence, then I will answer in more detail.
By the way, I see in the installer ( Water for ENB ) there are patches for iNeed, did you install them? Did you follow the loading order?

P.S. The flag 'Causes Damage' is also needed for other mods to work, for example Keep it clean, so they require a Patch where this flag must be set for the water source.

Any plans of seperating the widgets? The vertical/horizontal widgets for this is too far apart for minimalists huds. Would also suggest the sliders for the offsets be more accurate and not snap to the multiple of 5. Would really be helpful for those with adhd as it is triggering but they could also just turn it off...

The mod has a mode where icons are shown only when needs arise, this, in my opinion, is quite enough. There are small widgets
=> Nordic UI Icons for Sunhelm and iNeed Widgets ( small widgets, NOT supports colored widgets mode! ONLY standart mode!)

Thank you for the response im already using this and the last sentence was referring to that option. Was just asking if there are any plans for the ui to change in the future.

abraohader Thank you for helping to make this mod more friendly to the current needs of players)
If there was a really interesting idea (now for some reason everyone wants to see the level of needs in digital form, I am categorically against it, this is not a space simulator ! ), then I would start such work. As for your idea of placing icons with a certain step (5,10...), or even in the exact place you need - I will remember it, there is something in it. But for the sake of this change alone, it is not worth redoing the entire system)
