They can vanish! It happened a couple of times and I thought I was crazy and must have accidently sold them to merchants. But now I'm playing as an always-hated vampire who can't even use a merchant. I made two grand soul gems, killed two mammoths to fill them, and checked my inventory. When I got home to enchant with them they were just ... gone.
Confirmed: I found a save where I could reproduce this. Removing this mod resolved the issue.
Note: I'm also using Acquisitive Soul Gems Multithreaded This might be caused by a conflict between the two. I removed this mod because ASGM is more useful for my playstyle.
so is there a way to make this work with filled gems as well? maybe to make it more balanced, make it take 3 filled gems to upgrade? i have soul trap on my sword, so i don't have many unfilled soul gems...
I think it would be a rewarding feature to allow us to use soul gem shards. Perhaps 5x or 10x to get a petty soul gem, or something steep like this, because soul gem shards are so meh? It would give a use to a junk item that otherwise just collects dust.
There is a problem, actually. With ordinator, the enchanted wepon uses up the power even if you don't do anything. As long as the weapon is out, the enchantment bar is going down....
