About this mod
A fix for the defective vanilla game male head mesh.

- Permissions and credits
Ever since I started playing this game, I've wondered why the males ALWAYS have a seam at the neck. Doesn't matter what texture set you use - they all have the same problem. The fix, as with the defective brow issue, turned out to be stupidly simple. Well, it did involve some hex editing in Nifskope, but other than that, simple. The problem is in the shader settings - there is a large mismatch between the settings in the head mesh versus the other body parts. I've corrected this. No more seams for me.
WHAT IS THIS MOD THEN
This is a modder's resource, mostly for mod authors to apply fixes to their characters and overhauls. It only includes a fixed vanilla male head mesh. If a casual user installs this, they will see a change in their player character only. The shader settings are baked into the game's facegens for NPCs - they are based off of the male head mesh that was installed when they were generated. Unless those are regenerated somehow, they won't get the fix.
WHAT THIS MOD ISN'T
A panacea for seams. If you use garbage textures, this won't fix that. It strictly fixes the defective head mesh settings.
PERMISSIONS
Use this as you see fit. I would hope that whatever you use it in has open permissions as well. Modders that have stingy permissions are boring and do nothing but stunt the community. Credit and a link to the page would be nice.
