The following is a small sample of the changes made by Weapons Armor Clothing & Clutter Fixes.  I've tried to list the more significant changes, as well as providing an overview of the different types of changes made by this mod.  This is not a complete list of every change made by this mod.

  • WACCF - Smithing Perks

    THE SMITHING PERKS

Weapons Armor Clothing & Clutter Fixes makes the following changes to the Smithing perks.  These changes allow the smithing perks to apply more consistently to all armor and weapon types and will allow all weapons and armor in Skyrim to be improved further by having the relevant smithing perk.

One of the more significant changes is moving a number of items from the Advanced Armors perk on the "Light" side of the perk tree to instead be affected by the more appropriate "Heavy" perks. To accommodate this change, the Orcish Smithing perk has been renamed "Advanced Heavy Smithing" and will now allow you to further improve Steel Plate armor, Honed Draugr weapons, Blades armor and weapons, Nordic armor and weapons, and Chitin Heavy armor.

    SURVIVAL MODE CHANGES

I've carried forward the Survival keywords from Update.esm and adjusted them for greater consistency and to better reflect the in-game appearance of the items. Obviously these changes will only affect players using the CC Survival Mode (or other mods that might make use of these keywords). In addition to the changes listed below, I also added the appropriate Survival keywords to unique instances of armors which weren't using templates (therefore the keywords weren't getting carried over), such as Katria's Steel Armor and Taron Dreth's Robes.

Fur Sleeveless Armor, changed from Warm --> Standard
Fur Guard's Gauntlets, changed from Cold --> Warm
Iron Armor: changed from Standard --> Cold (banded iron remains standard...

  • WACCF - Details on Balance Changes

    BALANCE CHANGES

Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes includes a few changes that have a bit more of an impact on game balance than most of the bug fixes and consistency changes otherwise found in this mod. I felt that these changes were worth discussing in a bit more detail.

    DWARVEN, ELVEN, & ORCISH WEAPONS
This mod changes the ranks and quality progression of all Dwarven, Elven, and Orcish weapons in the game. The vanilla stats and progression for these weapons are inconsistent with both the armor scaling and the arrangement of the perk tree. This creates several balance and gameplay issues. By the time you get the Orcish perk there's little reason to ever craft Orcish weapons, since Dwarven weapons are superior and you get the Dwarven perk soone...
