This mod doesn't seem to want to play nicely with spells that add extra carrying compacity. Opening my inventory makes it realize the change but I have to do it every time.
I think I'm having the same issue. When I cast a spell that increases capacity, it takes some time for this mod do alter the carry weight %. Has anyone else had this issue and how have you managed to solve it?
First, thanks for this mod. I love the idea that everything I carry actually adds weight to my character versus the old system where it's just a number and you can carry 99.9999 percent of your total available encumbrance before it finally slows you down at 100 percent.
But, I'm having an interesting issue that definitely seems like a bug. I'm not totally certain it is because of this mod, but it seems like a good place to start. So I'm starting over again with a level one Dark Elf, so obviously a weakling. However, my available encumbrance changes seemingly at random. I will have say, 80 total carry capacity. Then I drop or sell an item, like a shield for instance, and my movement is suddenly slowed down. I go to my menu and now it says I only have 60 total capacity and under the Cobb menu, it says my encumbrance is an 8.
I tried an experiment where I dropped all of my weapons and armor. Then it said my carry capacity was like 39 and I was still over! Obviously, I can't play the game this way as I can't even carry one sword and a set of armor. What do you think? Has anyone else had this issue?
This mod doesn't include its own DLL file, but does use some of the script functions that SKSE adds to the game engine. It will be as compatible with AE as SKSE is at any given moment.
I believe I found a bug. So, I set the stamina regen to percentage and turned it to -5%, and I have a ring that gives 10% stamina regen buff, but I can't regen stamina because I regen 5 points more slowly. Is it intentional for the percentages to take away points?
I personally adjust the settings so there are NO bonuses to speed....why would there be bonuses? When you are carrying nothing, you would move at 100% speed, not 140%! :P
So I start at 100% speed, and decrease each level by -5%...until I get close to full capacity, then I increase the pace of penalties by larger % each step...and at 85%, I start losing stamina and my stamina regen goes into the negatives.
Thank you for allowing us to adjust your settings!
I know you posted this comment back in 2020, but thank you for this recommendation. I was so confused why I could run at what seemed way too far speeds. I'm going to tweak my MCM to mimic this.
Walk Speed Adjustments (Same speed for NPC and Player) fixes movement speed values. Lightweight and Realistic. SunHelm Includes an Optional Carry weight Penalty that is Lightweight and Balanced also optional Arrow Weight and Lockpick through Survival Control Panel. Cobb Encumbrance is overhauling Speed and Stamina values Realistically is very Lightweight and Highly Customizable.
What remains:
Slots Slots Slots Synthesis Patcher introduces a Slot system that is customizable in patcher settings and prevents carrying multiple types of Armor / Weapons (Realism) and allows Weight modification of Scrolls/ Potions and how many of their type you can carry. Highly compatible that way.
Downside Misc Items Weight are 0 and I don't know how to work with the source code. The Slot System is excellent though. Will put this under mod requests. If anyone knows of a recommendation share it. The Setup is simply excellent.
