Update to 1.0 is to signify completion of the project and coalesce version numbers across languages, no need to update for non-UHQ users
Anyone who downloaded UHQ Music before 2018-07-17 needs to re-download to fix a BSA error.
Only UHQ Music, not the standard HQ Music is affected. If you don't have two UHDAP - Music .bsa, you don't need to redownload.
Please read the FAQ in the description before posting, your question may have already been answered.
If questions keep coming up I'll try and be proactive in adding them to the FAQ.
If NMM users are having issues with load order, please see updated install instructions on using sResourceArchiveList2 to load the BSA files. Mod Organizer users shouldn't need to change anything.
If you are having issues with downloads, then I suggest downloading manually and then importing into your mod manager (especially if using NMM).
Fixed a consistent crash (Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FFA0652CD25 XAudio2_7.dll+002CD25) by removing this mod. It's entirely possible one or more of the files corrupted on my disk and that it's not really the fault of the mod at all, but let it be here for future reference.
I have persistently had xaudio crashes on FUS for the last 3 years, maybe this mod was the problem. I always thought it was Personalized Music, but if someone else has had xaudio crashes fixed by removing this mod... worth a shot. thank you for posting your solution, hopefully i can finally play skyrim vr without crashes now
Weird. I installed only the music through MO2 (v2.5.2, tried both through archive and through .esp) and the menu music will die after a few seconds and in game
Then I chuck both bsa and esp in the Data folder instead and it works just fine.
WAV Music is lossless PCM conversion from the PS4 AT9 compression (so not re-compressed in any way)
the wording is misleading but it shouldn't say they're lossless if they're just straight ports of the PS4 audio in WAV format, that's different than a true WAV
It's the conversion that is lossless. I think you'd have to construct the sentence awkwardly to be clearer about that. WAV's just a file format, so there's no "true WAV".
Except there are true WAVs for this game's music. (At least some of it.) The Super Hi-Res Music mod is actually lossless on any music that's included in the game's official soundtrack.
At first I thought installing this mod made Skyrim sounds a lot quieter. With most other factors unchanged, clear dialogues became a tiny buzzing sound. However I noticed the issue did not come from this mod but somehow from the game itself.
After I installed this mod, I did changed one other option: my output format from 48khz to 192khz in system -> sound -> output (in Windows Settings) to utilize the sound quality and that seemed to lower the volume of every sound in the game. After reverting this option music and dialogues finally have about the same volume as other apps but that also means the extra sound quality this mod provides would be lost. You might just use the vanilla 44khz or 48khz sound files.
I believe 44khz or 48khz was the default for my Realtek front panel output as well as the default output format for many of your sound outputs. That could also explain why there were only a few comments on the low volume issue and why some of comments like alexpanter's say that no difference could be heard.
I also did some other tests, with output format set to 192khz and no mods at all, not even UHDAP, main menu music volume sounds way too quiet. Reverting to 48khz and still with no mods, the music volume sounds fine. With both 48khz output format as well as UHDAP, everything sounds fine.
Therefore my conclusion is that this mod alone would not lower the volume, but if you plan on utilizing that extra quality by setting a higher output format to match this mod, the issue might arise. Since all my other apps have the exact same volume with either 48khz or 192khz output format, I think only Skyrim SE has this issue. (Another 24bit 192khz song was tested on Media Player and no volume differences found) As for the solution, I haven't found one yet other than tuning up the volume of Skyrim SE alone in Windows 11 sound mixer and lower the volumes of other apps.
44 and 48kHz is the sample rate, and 192kbps (called kbit is the description) is the bit rate. They're not the same thing, and you don't need to set the sample rate to match the bitrate. Sample rate = how many times per second do we update to the next "slice" of audio. Bit rate = how much information is stored in each of those slices.
I met a problem about placing the mod's plugin higher than USSEP in MO2. The USSEP plugin is grey in the right panel, just like other official plugins. MO2 says it's enforced by the game so I cannot change its priority. But I did install USSEP via MO2, not manually. And the method of changing this mod's modgroup into Creation Club in LOOT doesn't help either. Here's a screenshot. Thanks for any help!

Please see Qwinn's Magic Featherweight Patches for more info on ESL files and the ESL flag on .esp files.
Got random crash, i check the log & have similar output with your log
