Update to 1.0 is to signify completion of the project and coalesce version numbers across languages, no need to update for non-UHQ users

Anyone who downloaded UHQ Music before 2018-07-17 needs to re-download to fix a BSA error.

Only UHQ Music, not the standard HQ Music is affected. If you don't have two UHDAP - Music .bsa, you don't need to redownload.

Please read the FAQ in the description before posting, your question may have already been answered.

If questions keep coming up I'll try and be proactive in adding them to the FAQ.

If NMM users are having issues with load order, please see updated install instructions on using sResourceArchiveList2 to load the BSA files. Mod Organizer users shouldn't need to change anything.

If you are having issues with downloads, then I suggest downloading manually and then importing into your mod manager (especially if using NMM).

Please see Qwinn's Magic Featherweight Patches for more info on ESL files and the ESL flag on .esp files.

The UHQ wav files are not lossless, actual lossless WAVs of Skyrim's soundtrack exist though

The description doesn't say they are lossless.

WAV Music is lossless PCM conversion from the PS4 AT9 compression (so not re-compressed in any way)

the wording is misleading but it shouldn't say they're lossless if they're just straight ports of the PS4 audio in WAV format, that's different than a true WAV

I met a problem about placing the mod's plugin higher than USSEP in MO2. The USSEP plugin is grey in the right panel, just like other official plugins. MO2 says it's enforced by the game so I cannot change its priority. But I did install USSEP via MO2, not manually. And the method of changing this mod's modgroup into Creation Club in LOOT doesn't help either.
Here's a screenshot. Thanks for any help!

Fixed a consistent crash (Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FFA0652CD25 XAudio2_7.dll+002CD25) by removing this mod. It's entirely possible one or more of the files corrupted on my disk and that it's not really the fault of the mod at all, but let it be here for future reference.

I have persistently had xaudio crashes on FUS for the last 3 years, maybe this mod was the problem. I always thought it was Personalized Music, but if someone else has had xaudio crashes fixed by removing this mod... worth a shot. thank you for posting your solution, hopefully i can finally play skyrim vr without crashes now

So I have a problem and I'm wondering if this mod may have something to do with it.
All vanilla NPCs in Whiterun no longer have any audio playing for some voiced lines.

    For example:

    Farengar Secret-Fire
Voiced lines with audio missing (yet lips are moving and subtitles show):
    - Come to Dragonsreach to Discuss the ongoing hostilities, like the rest of the "great warriors"?
    - It seems this damnable conflict has claimed everyone's passions of late. Me, I prefer my books, and my spells.

    Farengar Secret-Fire
Voiced lines still working as expected:
    - I believe I am, yes. Technically speaking, of course. The city is also home to a priest, priestess, an alchemist, and I'm sure others who parctice. (triggered by the dialogue choice "Are you the only wizard in Whiterun?")
    - Need something? (triggered by pressing "E" to start a conversation and having already heard the initial triggered longer voiced lines recently).

    Arcadia
Voiced lines with audio missing (yet lips are moving and subtitles show):
    - You look rather pale. Could be Ataxia. It's quite a problem home in Cyrodil.

    Arcadia
Voiced lines still working as expected:
    - I think I can teach you a thing or two. (triggered by the dialogue choice "I'd like training in alchemy").
    - Yes? (triggered by pressing "E" to start a conversation and having already heard the initial triggered longer voiced lines recently).

The pattern here seem to be the voiced lines the NPCs say when I get close to them for the first time (or not having met them for a while).

I'm just trying to find the mod that caused this and I really don't think it's this mod, but I had to ask.

For any future references, this mod is definitely NOT safe to uninstall. It includes .esp files.

It is safe to uninstall mid-game. Those .esp files are just dummy plugins, they contain no records and are there just to load the .bsa files which contain sound files, nothing else. Yes, you will get a warning when you load a save, but it is safe to ignore.

It is not as simple as ".esp files = unsafe to remove". Generally, dummy plugins are safe to remove as long as the respective .bsa file does not contain scripts. Often even .esp files with records can be safe to uninstall, it just depends entirely on what kind of records they change/add.

For inexperienced modders, it is a good rule of thumb to not remove .esp files mid-playthrough, but it should not be considered/portrayed as applicable for every single mod.

Right any mod with an esp that adds new records with scripts is definitely unsafe to uninstall, because of the lingering non existent reference that might happen and CTD.

Any esp without records completely safe to uninstall. Any esp with some records / those that modify few things should also be safe to uninstall.

But load order changes can cause problem. So i create a dummy esp in it's place with no record and replace the original esp when uninstalling so load order is preserved.

dont listen to this amateurs, it is NOT SAFE TO UNINSTALL, it changes your whole load order when removing, and its on top of the list. If u have  mods like HDT-SMP, it can break your save.

It is in my knowledge and understanding that it is NOT RECOMMENDED to uninstall any plugins mid-paythrough, on very large load orders with very complex mods, like Legacy Of The Dragonborn.  It disrupts and changes the load order and could cause errors and bugs due to the hierarchy of the plugin order being disrupted by the changes.  In small load orders, it should be okay to remove the plugins.  But it should be general knowledge that removing mods, adding new mod and changing the load orders will corrupt you game over time. You have been warned.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't notice one bit of a difference between vanilla audio and this mod's audio. I can immediately notice the difference between 128 kbps songs and 320 kbps songs, but it seems the difference between "48 kbps" against "192 kbps" is so minimal my [untrained?] ears cannot hear the difference no matter how hard I concentrate lol

Hmmm the differences are very obvious to me, like instantly, even though I'm using 3$ speakers lol. It can't be that my hearing is just extremely good XD

You will mostly notice a different dynamic range, as there's less compression.

Vanilla audio sounds like like you're loading the game from an N64 cartridge. If you're not playing with headphones, you might not notice, but with headphones, it's very noticeable. The level of audio compression in this game is absolutely wild, and the fact that Bethesda didn't address it when porting the game to PC, despite all these re-releases, is shameful.

I was always sensitive about this stuff :D I MUST use Dolby Atmos for headphones. I MUST have high quality headphones, just to have the most clear sounds and music. And don´t get my started on setting audio equalizer correctly, so that my music is clear and still have some depth to it xD

At first I thought installing this mod made Skyrim sounds a lot quieter. With most other factors unchanged, clear dialogues became a tiny buzzing sound. However I noticed the issue did not come from this mod but somehow from the game itself.

After I installed this mod, I did changed one other option: my output format from 48khz to 192khz in system -> sound -> output (in Windows Settings) to utilize the sound quality and that seemed to lower the volume of every sound in the game. After reverting this option music and dialogues finally have about the same volume as other apps but that also means the extra sound quality this mod provides would be lost. You might just use the vanilla 44khz or 48khz sound files.

I believe 44khz or 48khz was the default for my Realtek front panel output as well as the default output format for many of your sound outputs. That could also explain why there were only a few comments on the low volume issue and why some of comments like alexpanter's say that no difference could be heard.

I also did some other tests, with output format set to 192khz and no mods at all, not even UHDAP, main menu music volume sounds way too quiet. Reverting to 48khz and still with no mods, the music volume sounds fine. With both 48khz output format as well as UHDAP, everything sounds fine.

Therefore my conclusion is that this mod alone would not lower the volume, but if you plan on utilizing that extra quality by setting a higher output format to match this mod, the issue might arise. Since all my other apps have the exact same volume with either 48khz or 192khz output format, I think only Skyrim SE has this issue. (Another 24bit 192khz song was tested on Media Player and no volume differences found) As for the solution, I haven't found one yet other than tuning up the volume of Skyrim SE alone in Windows 11 sound mixer and lower the volumes of other apps.

Anyone else have issues with dialogue playing out correctly and forcegreet's to work properly? Sometimes I need to load out of a cell and load back in for NPC's to greet me again properly or to properly play out NPC-to-NPC interactions without them getting stuck looking at each other.

This issue does not seem to happen without this mod. I'm very curious about other people's experiences with this (rather large) mod.

I've talked about this issue before here: NPCs not running conversation scenes
    1. All I can tell is that the problem is on your end. I installed this mod yesterday, checked my old save and started a new game, I have no issues you are describing, all npcs are making dialogues like always

I ran into the exact same problem today, mod installed yesterday. Brand new game. It was especially bad when the soldier came up to Dragonsreach to report the dragon attack. After that, they were standing around, staring at each other for approx. 1 minute until the next stage of the dialogue finally fired. With the mod and its language appendixes disabled, all dialogue played as it normally would. Tested it with several others that got stuck before. 🤷‍♀️ I keep it uninstalled for now.
