Update to 1.0 is to signify completion of the project and coalesce version numbers across languages, no need to update for non-UHQ users
Anyone who downloaded UHQ Music before 2018-07-17 needs to re-download to fix a BSA error.
Only UHQ Music, not the standard HQ Music is affected. If you don't have two UHDAP - Music .bsa, you don't need to redownload.
Please read the FAQ in the description before posting, your question may have already been answered.
If questions keep coming up I'll try and be proactive in adding them to the FAQ.
If NMM users are having issues with load order, please see updated install instructions on using sResourceArchiveList2 to load the BSA files. Mod Organizer users shouldn't need to change anything.
If you are having issues with downloads, then I suggest downloading manually and then importing into your mod manager (especially if using NMM).
If you're talking about the strikethrough in MO2's plugins panel, it's because this mod's plugins are considered "dummy plugins". This is because the plugins contain no records, but they're still needed in order to load an archive. If you hover your mouse over a plugin in the plugins panel, MO2 will provide all the details it has, including if it's a dummy plugin.
I'm getting a similar issue. MO2 v2.5.0, was able to install UHDAP Music just fine. But when I try to install English Voices Part 1, I get: "None of the available installer plugins were able to handle that archive. This is likely due to a corrupted or incompatible download or unrecognized archive format." Tried redownloading the Part 1, doesnt resolve the issue. Tried manual download and install, still wont install/extract with MO2.
Hello, thank you for the mod, since I installed "UHDAP - MusicHQ.bsa" and "UHDAP - MusicHQ.esp", can I delete the "Skyrim - Sounds.bsa" file ? I have the anniversary edition.
First time trying this mod and I have a bit of a puzzling question. For a bit of context it's important to note these two things:
I am using Vortex to install the mod.
I am playing on the Anniversary Edition.
After reading the description and checking my load order (Plugins tab), I noticed a few things that might not let this mod work for me. Vortex automatically sorts all of the files from this mod to the very bottom of the load order, which is obviously an issue made very clear in the mod description, and there is no way to manually re-order the load order in Vortex. I have tried to re-order the mod files by creating a new group and placing it between the "Main Plugins" (Main Game and DLC) and the "Creation Club" groups, but you can't delete the connection between these two groups since they are master groups and so this did not work.
Since I cannot re-order them unless I assign them to a pre-existing master group, how do I solve this issue without using a different mod manager?
From what I can tell, my only options, which both comes with their own issues mind you, are:
A) Assign the mod files (.enb) (technically .esl) to the "Main Plugins" group, which will have the mod files load at the same time as the base game and DLCs. I highly doubt this would work because I can't guarantee that the mod files will load after the base game does, meaning the base game audio doesn't get overridden.
B) Assign the mod files to the "Creation Club" group, which will have the mod files load at the same time as all present and future creation club content. I also doubt this would work as the mod description specifically details that all other mods (which is what creation club content technically is) must load after this mod.
Is there any possible solution to this?
For visual context, this is what my load order issue looks like, number 86 being the last in the load order.
Pure placebo to me. As a +25 years musician, I can't tell the difference AT ALL. The audio quality comes from the recording, not the output compression and low quality recording doesn't get better with lower compression. Even on the Soundcloud link, you can see that the sound wave is 99.99999999% the same.
You must not have very good sound equipment then or destroyed your ears. The difference in the voices is extreme and I can never go back after using this mod. Vanilla voices sound awful compared to this.
Listen a few times to Nocturnal and music after that. Even I, with my bad music hearing, can hear the difference. If you can't hear the difference with Nocturnal, either you have a poor quality speakers or headphones or you should probably visit a doctor.
you can tell the difference.. but not really if you dont crank up the volume.. it clears up some lower notes and static, mid range and deeper sounds have more depth but like I said only when volume is on loud... and if you dont like playing games on loud like me, this mod makes no difference to care... and its faaar from real HD sound, well cuz it was recorded 10+y ago....
Either youre trolling to get attention because apparently you replied to other comments saying the same thing, or you lied about being 25+ year musician, because both your knowledge on this subject and your attitude are nowhere near that amount of year of life, let alone being a musician. "The audio quality comes from the recording, not the output compression and low quality recording doesn't get better with lower compression" - this line alone proves you know nothing about what youre saying. And no normal human being would feel the need to introduce themselves as "musician of 25+ years" to try and validate what theyre saying like you, what a joke.
As for this mod being placebo, surely with over a million download, with every single one saying this mod makes audio better, but somehow you stand out and being special and edgy and say its a placebo, so you must be right, huh. It sounded better for me, it sounded better for tons of other people, so you probably should sell your second-handed earphone that you got gifted as a kid and go buy something better or go check your ear at a doctor. This is an old comment so i doubt youll ever see this but i just wanna let you know how pathetic you are. trying to be a smartass to feel "superior".
It is safe to uninstall mid-game. Those .esp files are just dummy plugins, they contain no records and are there just to load the .bsa files which contain sound files, nothing else. Yes, you will get a warning when you load a save, but it is safe to ignore.
It is not as simple as ".esp files = unsafe to remove". Generally, dummy plugins are safe to remove as long as the respective .bsa file does not contain scripts. Often even .esp files with records can be safe to uninstall, it just depends entirely on what kind of records they change/add.
For inexperienced modders, it is a good rule of thumb to not remove .esp files mid-playthrough, but it should not be considered/portrayed as applicable for every single mod.
Famous loadorder sorting program LOOT classified this mod in exact same group as Creation Club content (ccgroup). So there are no requirement to put this mod before Creation Club content.
Sadly, LOOT does not automatically classify mods like this from some time, so anyone using Vortex should manually navigate to Plugins tab and mark this mod *.esp files as Creation Club, then click Sort Now.
