Shame that i need that 'Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch is required" coze it will change my language and many other things...1k hours in Skyrim and i installed this once....always if i had any bug simple load helped. it's 2024 you can have milion mods and you do not need USSEP anymore
''Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch is required.'' There's no way i'm going to install this, so how will the mod perform without this unofficial ''patch'' ? I have only 1 other mode which is a simple magic scaling.
This reply is so late lel :') but I personally don't like the person who made it... Arthmoor. I've heard from many many sources that he's a massive a**hole, and also he doesn't upload old versions of his mod, essentially controlling the entire community by making them stay with the latest update (since so many mods use USSEP).
please refrain from insulting ppls behind their back. Arthmoor has done an insane amount of work for the community, he has earned respect despites his unperfectness, he should be praised not blamed.
For the older versions, that's not controlling community, that's controlling bug reports, new versions correct more bugs but if someone uses the old one, he will report bugs that got fixed in the new version or even worse fixed by bethesda themselves in the new skyrim version. So they do this to save their sanity, time and energy. Because they believe they have a responsability to offer a stable and unbugged product, the most polished possible. And i agree with this behaviour.
You can find the older versions on other websites anyway. But it's a hellish compatibility problem that can induce CTD with mods that need USSEP as master. When you have a mod that touch so many things in the game, you cant maintain multiples versions or the end user will face issues with non updated mods needing ussep with multiples patches for multiples versions, after so many years it becomes absurd with so many patches for retro compatibility: it doesnt worth the time needed to maintain them.
Just a reminder, what you hear is often not the truth but what others want you to believe.
Good mod but I'm having a problem. I downloaded it so I could only put two-three perk points into lockpicking but for some reason I'm still being blocked from putting points in the spots I want unless I add points into novice, apprentice, etc. I'm not 100 on lockpicking yet but I'm worried about having to add points into the tree and making lock picking too easy.
So happy i found this mod. I was stuck in some skill trees as i didn't want the perk needed to move to the one after that i did want. It works like a charm
Curious (and hopeful) that someone might be able to help me please... With a cherry on top? O.O
I've recently moved to SSE from Oldrim and I'm setting my mods up using Vortex (I was using NMM on Oldrim). I used to use both the Oldrim version of Perks Unbound along with another mod called Linear Smithing Tree. I remember I had to place on before the other in order for them to both play nicely together but can't recall which way round it was - helpful I know... I've spent the past hour and a half trying to do so again however I'm unable to get it to work.
Linear Smithing Tree works "out of the box" in SSE but I "ported" it via the CK anyway. Perks Unbound SSE works as is (obviously). I've tried manually adjusting my load order to try to get both mods to work like in Oldrim but no dice. Each time, Linear Smithing Tree always works regardless. I've also tried using the Oldrim version of Perks Unbound but it doesn't work - which I suppose I knew anyway but I was getting desperate...
Looking on Google, there is a hidden version of Linear Smithing Tree but that doesn't help me. I'll probably stick with Perks Unbound for now, however if anyone can get them to work together - or recreate Linear Smithing Tree, please let me know.
after the first use of this mod it reverted my 100's down to the teens so im no longer 100 enchant or smithing or speech. am i screwed or is there a way to fix that?
Is your mod compatible with mods that add additional ranks to the vanilla perks? I use "Archery Enhanced" (link below), which adds new ranks to Critical Shot and Quick Shot, among other things.

Why on Earth would you refuse to install a mod that fixes a TON of issues that Bethesda didn't bother to fix?
i use them but they "fix" some things that probably intentionally.
Like the necromancer perk as a vamp
Revert Fortify Restoration Fix of the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch etc. etc. And of course Achievements Mods Enabler!
Search for USSEP or Unofficial Special. Reverting USSEP fixes you don't want is much more stable and more compatible with most mods than running the game without USSEP.
