does this detect if the player is the killer or not?
I wouldn't want to be sneaking and watch two bandits killing each other completely silently just cause I'm crouched

For anyone who comes across this mod, found another one called More Painful Death Sounds SE (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25702) that has a version with silent death when player is sneaking. More updated if that was your concern.

Just thought I would point out to both the author and users of this mod that Loot seems to put the Relationship Dialogue Overhaul compatibility patch before the main RDO mod in the load order, which makes the compatibility patch useless. This can be easily fixed by firing up SSEEdit and adding RDO as a master in the compatibility patch.

Great mod. I wish we could do the same for the victims! Screams, dropping battleaxes that clatter across the floor and another bandit 2 paces away stands there as if nothing happened lol.

Thanks for sharing this essential mod. It has made playing as a sneaky thief 100% more immersive. Endorsed :)

Just to let you know that, if you use the PC Head Tracking mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11993) and set the voice type to "Unrestricted Mode" in its MCM, it will override the behaviour of this mod and you will still hear combat noises in sneak mode.
The solution is just to not check the Unrestricted Mode option. All other aspects of that mod seem to work without interfering with yours.

You can do this easily in xEdit, it literally takes seconds.

1/ Launch xEdit from within your mod manager (I use MO2), select these two plugins for it to load. Wait for it to load them.
2/ Click the first plugin on the left side of the window to highlight it.
3/ On the right side of the window, near the top, double-click next to where it says "Record Flags (sorted)", it will give you a drop-down list
4/ Find "ESL" on that list and click it to check the box next to it. Click anywhere else to close the list.
5/ On the left side of the window, the name of the plugin should show in bold type, indicating it has changed.
6/ Repeat steps 2-5 for the other plugin (e.g. the RDO patch).
7/ Close xEdit and it will prompt you to save the changed files. Make sure that only the two plugins you want to change are checked, then click OK. By default it will save a backup of the plugins.

That's it, it takes less time to do this than it took me to type these instructions and I'm not a slow typist.

Thank you so much for making this, I hated how my sneaky character would yell repeatedly, while just trying to slice some spider webs out of the way. I know it doesn't affect detection, but it seems stupid to sound like you're announcing your presence loudly while trying to be stealthy.

    Compatible with Oldrim?
