Skyrim Special Edition comes with some "remastered" art assets, including 4096px mountain textures. Problem is, it quickly became evident these were obviously the most rudimentary kind of upscaled textures from a low resolution source, offering negligible quality increase at way more performance cost. So I have created some textures to offer an exponential increase in fidelity, yet still at the exact same resolution of the base SSE textures. As per usual with the kind of texture mods I create, these strive to retain the tone and feel of the original art direction. My other goal was to create something that looks good both up close and when viewed from a distance, which can be very tricky on the kind of meshes and UV maps these textures are used on. There's a lot of fine detail revealed on close inspection, but it shouldn't look overly noisy and busy from further away.
