Port of Hamvir the Ghost Follower from Oldrim to SSE by Jokerine.
Adds Hamvir, a ghost follower to Hamvir's Rest.

Permissions and credits

Port of Hamvir the Ghost Follower from original Skyrim to SSE.  All credits go to Jokerine for the original design and implementation.  Many thanks for allowing open permissions to port over the mod to SSE.  The original mod can be found here:

Hamvir the Ghost Follower

Both .esp's have been saved in the Creation Kit in form 44 and have been processed through the latest version of the SSE NifOptimizer for compatibility with Skyrim SE.  Yes I know there are a ton of other follower mods out there but not a lot of 'Ghost' followers and Jokerine had a pretty good idea by adding the Ghost of the warrior to which the Dungeon was named after.  Jokerine mentioned that she was not sure if Hamvir could be equipped with Armor but I gave him one of my Cloaks from Winter is Coming and he put it on right away.  So having him wear other Armor should not be an issue.  He is considered a standalone follower and is marked as Essential.

Pertinent Information: 
I have included 2 .esp's in this port:
  • The Ghost Follower.esp OP version is the Over-Powered version where Hamvir cannot take any damage because he is marked as "Is Ghost" in the Creation Kit.
  • The Ghost Follower.esp Non OP version is the same as the other .esp but I have unchecked the "Is Ghost" box in the Creation Kit so he can take damage just like any other follower but will still only take half damage as Jokerine describes below as one of his abilities but is still marked as Essential.

Make sure to only install one .esp!

Important!! Please read the compatibility notes below regarding Follower mods!!  That section will be updated based on player feedback.

Roleplaying Suggestion:

Since Hamvir is a Ghost,  it should be figured that he would be good for a Mage or Necromancer type class that specializes in that type of Magical school.  Plus its kind of cool to have a Ghost follower anyways.  I leave it up to the player to decide for themselves.

This mod was a request at the Nexus forums for a 'translucent' follower. You will find this nice guy at Hamvir's Rest, a tomb located
between Whiterun and Morthal.

He carries a Drainblood Battleaxe and Bow, which I feel fit his theme and skills of a two-handed warrior and has several ghostly perks, including Light Foot so he won't trigger pressure plates, Silence, Muffled Movement, and a ghost-only skill that will let him take only half damage from any attacks. He is also
essential. I didn't check to see how it would look like if you gave him armor, but I figure there should be no problem. Do let me know how it goes!

His original voice type would not allow for him to become a follower, so I had to change it. He sounds like a regular person now and I think it makes him livelier. (HEH GET IT?)

To install, place the files in your 'SteamSteamAppsCommonSkyrimSpecialEditionData' folder. Then activate the mod through your preferred launcher by ticking the checkbox next to the .esp.



Amazing Follower Tweaks SE:  Yes.  I have this installed in my game and he works fine and all Tweak options show up. 
Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks SE:  It should.  I dont use it so other players would have to confirm this.  Hamvir is Standalone so it should work fine.

This mod is not to be sold under any circumstances.  Jokerine made that very clear in her profile.  If you see this mod being sold anywhere,  its an illegal copy and should be reported immediately to a Nexus moderator.    I am not the original Author,  Jokerine is.

Final Thoughts:
This is another simple port from Jokerine that worked out really well.  I have other Jokerine mods to port over around the holidays.  These are themed and will be brought over at the right time barring any issues with meshes,  CTD's and worldspace issues and other mods altering the areas.  Let me know if there is any issues with the file.  Enjoy the port and good luck.
