UPDATE 1.1: I fixed the folder path for the Death Hound (AKA Vampire Dog). Sorry for the screwup, but seriously, who organizes their textures like that? That's a rhetorical question, as we all know the answer.
I had a number of requests to port to SSE my "RUSTIC" retextures of the Dawnguard beasties, the Death Hound and Gargoyle. I combined the two mods together for ease of use. I updated the textures by saving the normal maps in BC7 compression, so they should be essentially artifact free.
Add your comments and queries here..... This is just a simple retexture, so it should work with most mods. Choose whichever resolution works best for your setup. You have two color versions of the Death Hound to choose from.
Hi all, just wanted to say a while back I had an issue where garmr was spawned twice and no cusith was found, this is because of an incompatible mod called "Reaper a death hound follower", just in case anyone has the same problem. not this mods fault, this is a really good mod :)
I know im really late but how do I download it like I don't have any options to download its saying itll be uploaded and ready for download soon but the weird part is its every mod I searched a few other mods n said the same thing also the rustic clothing one say it to but yet I have it installed :/ (edit) nvm ig it was just a bug with the site i got it now btw the textures look amazing
Love these rustic retextures, they look amazing! One quick question though, what are the resolution of the vanilla skyrim textures for these? Can't seem to find anywhere that says it.
I was working on one some time ago, but I couldn’t figure out how to spawn one in game, so I could evaluate it and take proper screenshots. I got frustrated and moved on to other things.
Bribes are always accepted, but that's not the issue.
The Vampire Lord is an "aspect", rather than a normal creature that you can spawn in game. You have to become a Vampire Lord in order to summon the change, and I don't play the game these days. Therefore, I don't have any intention of playing out the Dawnguard storyline just so I can see the textures in game.
You can just use the psb console command to grant yourself every spell and power, you know? I have no intention of trying to pressure you, but thought I should say if that was the only reason.
player.addspell xx00283b = add spell "Vampire Lord" (replace "xx" with the the number Dawnguard DLC takes in your Load Order) or player.setrace DLC1VampireBeastRace
I would also love to see your unique take on the vampire lord form :)
Now I remember what the issue was... It had been some time since I worked on those textures. If you transform your character into a Vampire Lord, you are stuck with being in third person view, and even if you use the toggle the free camera command, you can't get the camera to go in front of the character to take screenshots. You're stuck with one very limited view. The only way to take screenshots would be to encounter a Vampire Lord in the game. That's why I gave up originally.
If screenshots are a big issue, you could just outsource the act of taking screenshots to those who take them all the time. I have seen many mod authors make a reddit post asking for people to make screenshots if you don't want to go through the hassle of taking them yourself.
You can spawn Harkon as a vampire lord, here are the Ids (not sure why there are 2 Ids for his vampire lord form): xx00EC8A, xx00EC1C
The 'xx' is a number that varies depending on how DLC loads but I think its usually '01,' if that doesn't work try this command: 'help "lord harkon"' (name must be enclosed with apostrophes) It should show all Ids for him.
@StickySock - It's not just a matter of taking screenshots so other people can see what the textures look like. I need to be able to see the textures in game as I'm working in order to evaluate them. I need to see them in real lighting to judge how to adjust them. Looking at them in Nifskope isn't good enough. Besides, the Vampire Lord meshes are divided up. The armors are on separate meshes from the bodies, so you can't even see how everything fits together by viewing the mesh previews. To work on textures without being able to see them in game only leads to problems.
@IJustWantToGetSomeMods - Those codes do work for Lord Harkon, so at least I can view one version in game. That doesn't help for the regular Vampire Lord armor, or the female versions, but it's better than nothing.

I think it would go really well with Rougeshot's "Hellish Hounds" mod too. Thanks for sharing!
data\textures\actors\dlc01\vampirebrute
data\textures\dlc01\actors\vampiredog
data\textures\dlc01\dungeons>castle
There's a "dlc01" folder in "textures" and another in "actors" and the "textures\dlc01" folder has an "actors" folder in it as does "data/textures"
Then I came here and saw your locked comment, so I'm assuming the structure is as needed? It seriously looks like an error or a mix-up or something...

Use the command 'player.placeatme [Id]'
faction->harkon/volkihar.
